Alan Tudyk is celebrating a new milestone in his and wife Charissa Barton’s love story.

The Superman actor, 54, marked his ninth wedding anniversary with Barton on Instagram with a loving tribute — and a warning to bears.

He shared a fun throwback photo of himself and the choreographer on their wedding day. In the snap, Barton, clad in a Vera Wang strapless wedding dress, could hilariously be seen making a face as she placed her neck under what appeared to be the paw of a polar bear statue.

Her husband went along with the ploy and could be seen reaching an arm out to save her, all while dressed in his Armani wedding tux. He had a horrified look on his face as he pretended to save her from the bear’s clutches.

“Nine years ago today I saved @charissabarton from being killed by a polar bear,” he teasingly captioned the post. “As a thank you, she married me. I love you baby:) Happy Anniversary.”

“Bears – watch your asses,” he jokingly concluded his post.

Superman director James Gunn also commented with three red heart emojis. While Tudyk’s friend and fellow actor Seth Green joked, “Love you both & thank god you were there.”

The Rogue One star and Barton tied the knot in 2016 at The Paramour Estate in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles in front of close family and friends.

Tudyk announced the wedding to fans on X, writing, “getting married saturday. any tips?” Barton responded: “Get married at the same time that I do, same venue, same altar. #cantwait.”

Last week, the pair posted a photo together while sharing their support for the One Love Fund, which raises funds and awareness for youth, education, and the arts. In the snap, Tudyk could be seen laying his head on his wife’s shoulder as she smiled at the camera.

He also shared a celebration of their eighth wedding anniversary with a snap of the two dancing and wrote, “Eight years ago today, @charissabarton and I put on our fancy clothes and invited friends and family to celebrate our love for always – so really, eight years of matrimony isn’t that big a deal in the face of eternal love, but it’s a good excuse to party:) Happy Anniversary baby:)))))))”

Barton is a dancer, choreographer and creative consultant with 25 years of experience in entertainment, according to her website. She has performed in famous venues like the Sydney Opera House and the Kennedy Center.
