Mike Wolfe’s Girlfriend Leticia Cline Remains in Hospital 11 Days After Car Crash

Mike Wolfe is sharing a health update, 11 days after he and his girlfriend, Leticia Cline, were involved in a serious car crash.

On Sept. 13, the American Pickers star, 61, announced on social media that he and his partner were involved in an accident, as both he and Cline shared a look at damage to a vintage blue car from an apparent front-on collision. While the American Pickers star, 61, has been discharged from the hospital in the days since, he has remained by Cline’s side as she recovers from what representatives for Wolfe are now calling “extensive jaw surgery after suffering breaks in three places.”

“It’s been 11 days since the accident, and Mike and Leticia are deeply grateful for every call, text, prayer, visit and message of support,” Wolfe’s representatives say in a statement to PEOPLE. “Your love has truly carried them through. They are also thankful for the outstanding care at Vanderbilt and know they are in the very best hands.”

“As many of you know, Mike has been discharged from the hospital. He is focusing on follow-up appointments and continuing to manage lingering effects from the accident, particularly injuries to his knee and wrist,” they add.

As for Cline, her “healing journey is more complex,” the reps say.

“She remains in the hospital and recently underwent extensive jaw surgery after suffering breaks in three places. Her surgical team shared that it was one of the most difficult cases they have ever worked on,” the spokesperson adds. “While the procedure was successful, she is experiencing significant pain and faces a long recovery ahead.”

“Mike and Leticia will provide updates as they are able. For now, we ask that you continue to keep Leticia in your hearts as she bravely begins this long road to healing.”

The health updates come as Cline shared a look at her and Wolfe sitting together in her hospital room on Tuesday, Sept. 23 — over a week after the pair announced they were involved in the crash. Initially, Cline revealed on social media that her injuries included a “broken jaw (in a few places), broken ribs, sternum, collapsed lung and a lot of swelling on my spine” and that her “mouth will be wired shut” as part of her recovery. She was airlifted from the scene.

Wolfe, who has been dating Cline since 2021, was transported via ambulance to the hospital and treated for a broken nose, injured knee, and facial lacerations requiring stitches, according to his representatives.

Back in November, Cline celebrated Wolfe’s 60th birthday with a loving Instagram post featuring snaps from a vintage car shoot.

“If we measured the sunsets, trips we’ve taken, concerts we’ve seen, people’s lives we’ve touched, animals we’ve helped, things we’ve loved then you’d be older than reality could comprehend,” she wrote in a caption. “A life well lived is not measured in years, but instead by how many people measure their lives by yours and you have such a beautiful life that over flows with it.”
