Emilie Kiser is addressing the public reaction to her recent TikTok video, which marked her return to social media following her three-year-old son Trigg’s death.

On Tuesday, Sept. 23, Emilie, 26, took to her Instagram Stories to thank fans for their support following her Sunday, Sept. 20, return.

“I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love and support on my most recent post,” she began in the text post.

The influencer added, “I have been truly blown away by the love, comfort, and support. I appreciate so many of you sharing your similar experiences and your own stories of how you have dealt with grief and loss.”

Emilie also noted “The internet can be such a dark place,” before thanking her comment section for “support and community.”

“If anyone who follows me or reads this is dealing with loss, I just want to say that I am here for you and I hope you are getting the love and support you need,” the statement concluded.

Emilie’s son Trigg died following a drowning incident that occurred in her and her husband Brady Kiser’s backyard pool on May 12. He was 3 years old.

Tuesday’s statement comes days after Emilie returned to social media with a video on Sunday. “Hi, you guys. I don’t even really know what to say. I’m gonna be honest, it’s been a minute since I’ve obviously come on here,” she began in the clip.

Her video featured her usual format of showing herself making an iced coffee before pausing to speak to the camera. She also wore a “Trigg” necklace that paid tribute to her late son.

“Not gonna lie, I’m really nervous right now,” she continued. “I don’t really know if there’s any, like, right way to start this video, but I’m gonna do my best. Just first off, wanna say thank you if you’re here.”

Emilie first addressed her son’s death in a statement shared on Instagram and TikTok, saying that, while she would be “establishing more boundaries” with what she shares online, she hoped “to be in a place to share more about how [she is] navigating this grief.”

“Right now, all I can say is thank you for the love, compassion, patience and space you’ve given us to grieve,” Emilie said.

Emilie also reflected on the start of her social media career, explaining that her goal in starting her platform had been to “connect with other moms and find a community.”

Brady, who was the only parent at home at the time of the incident, initially said that he had lost sight of Trigg for three to five minutes before finding him in the pool, though the Chandler Police Department (CPD)’s report later cited video evidence that Trigg “was in the backyard unsupervised for more than nine minutes, and in the water for about seven of those minutes.”

Trigg was hospitalized after the incident. He died six days later on May 18.
