‘Dynasty’ Star Adam Huber Marries Beauty Influencer Rachel Rigler (Exclusive)

Adam Huber is married!

The Dynasty star, 38, tied the knot with beauty influencer Rachel Rigler at Brown Beach House in Trogir, Croatia, on Tuesday, Sept. 23. The couple, who first connected on Instagram and got engaged in April 2024, tells PEOPLE that Croatia is a special place for Rigler, as she lived there when she was a child while her dad was working overseas for the State Department.

“Since they moved away, her family has never been back,” Huber says. “We also love vacationing in Italy, and Croatia is right next door — with better food and wine, in our humble opinion.”

They invited just 30 loved ones, wanting their wedding to be small and intimate. The couple also saw their destination nuptials as an opportunity to treat their guests to an unforgettable Mediterranean experience filled with sightseeing and sampling local cuisine.

“Since our family was having to travel so far, we wanted to give them a proper European vacation,” Rigler says. “A boat day touring the Dalmatian islands, showing our family our favorite pizza spot in Split, a beautiful rehearsal dinner to celebrate our two families coming together, and a hungover day on the beach.”

She adds, “When will we ever have both of our families together in Europe again? We just wanted to make the most out of the time we were all there together.”

To help bring their dream wedding to life, the couple worked with local event planner Serendipity Weddings. They also hired a content creator, Reel Events Weddings, to capture the occasion because they wanted to have a phone-free day.

Inspired by their hotel venue, which has a striking black-and-white checkered pool deck, Huber and Rigler embraced an overall vibe of “black-tie elegance with modern minimalism.” The décor was primarily black and white, with pops of green.

The couple opted for a traditional ceremony, officiated by the bride’s uncle, Andrew Peck, and featuring music performed by a cellist and pianist. They exchanged handwritten vows that they each wrote into little books they purchased on Etsy. “It’ll be a special keepsake for us to look back on and to show our kids one day,” Rigler notes.

Rigler wore Valentini Spose’s Catera gown, which she found on her very first visit to the Atlanta boutique Bridals By Lori (where Huber also got his custom suit). The one-shoulder design features a full skirt and an open back.

“I broke down in tears when I tried the dress on, and just knew immediately that it was the one,” she tells PEOPLE. “I have truly never felt more beautiful than when I’m wearing that dress.”

For the couple’s rehearsal dinner, Rigler made a sentimental choice, wearing a shortened version of the wedding dress her grandmother made by hand for her mother 30 years ago. The bride ended the night in a dress she ordered from Etsy to jump into the hotel pool with her new husband.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests mingled during a cocktail hour before enjoying a three-course dinner. The menu included seafood soup and a choice of a fish or steak entrée, with vanilla gelato drizzled in olive oil and topped with pistachios for dessert. Pizza also was served at the end of the night.

Once the dancing got underway, Huber and Rigler had a special surprise for their loved ones. They performed their first dance in rumba style — choreographing the number over 10 private dance lessons — to the song “Speechless” by Dan + Shay.

The celebration also included a dazzling fireworks display, which the couple says was one of their wedding non-negotiables.

Huber and Rigler first connected on Instagram, and then the actor flew to Savannah, Ga., where Rigler was living at the time. “We had the most romantic, movie-like weekend,” she recalls.

Adam popped the question outside the Colosseum in Rome on April 18, 2024. “Rome holds a special place in our heart, and we’ve been there together three separate times,” Adam tells PEOPLE.

He says he tried to keep it a surprise, but then a group of Dynasty fans spotted the couple and started flocking around them. One fan approached and asked for a picture.

“I politely responded, ‘Hey, I’m trying to do something here,” Adam — who played Liam Ridley in the CW series — remembers with a laugh. “I think Rachel knew what was about to happen. She’s impossible to surprise!”

Reflecting on what they love most about each other, Rigler says Huber has “the best heart” of anyone she’s ever met. “He is extremely loyal to everyone he loves. He always has a way of making me smile. He is my favorite person to travel with, and I enjoy every single spontaneous adventure with him,” she tells PEOPLE, joking, “I love falling asleep with him and waking up to him — and his mouth tape every morning.”

As for Huber, he adores Rigler’s “amazing heart,” deep empathy and adventurous spirit.

“She took me skydiving in Hawaii for my first time — her second — and after we landed on the ground we looked at each other and said, ‘Let’s do it again!’ and we went right back and jumped out of the airplane again,” he recalls.

Now that they are officially husband and wife, the couple tells PEOPLE they are looking forward to building a family and traveling the world with their kids. “We are both excited about watching each other step into the mom and dad role,” Huber says.

But first on the agenda is their honeymoon — five nights in Istria, Croatia, known for its olive oil and wine. “It was highly recommended to us by Croatian locals and apparently has some of the best food in Croatia,” Huber notes. “We’re excited to stay at one of our dream hotels, Grand Park Rovinj, spending time with each other, eating amazing food, drinking amazing wine, and exploring the romantic city.”

Huber and Rigler also plan to focus on some projects in the new house they recently bought.

“Our next chapter will have a lot of growth in all aspects of our life. But right now, we’re soaking in the remainder of this chapter as newlyweds,” the actor tells PEOPLE.

Adds Rigler, “We have always been a great team, and now we get to be a team for life. We are each other’s biggest cheerleaders and are super excited to watch and help each other accomplish our greatest goals as individuals and as partners.”
