Robert Irwin‘s biggest competition might just be in his family — and she already has “all 10s” on her quest for the Mirrorball Trophy!
The Dancing with the Stars contestant, 21, prepared for his second week in the competition by giving fans a glimpse of his apparent at-home training regimen, as he adorably gave some pointers (and got a few of his own) from his 4-year-old niece, Grace.
In a clip shared to Instagram on Saturday, Sept. 20, Robert can be seen talking Grace — the daughter of Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell — through a mini routine in the living room, featuring kicks, spins, jumps and hand-holding. “Did I do it,” Grace asked her uncle in the clip, before he responded with a laugh, “Yeah, that’s it.”
Eventually, as Grace began to point her legs in unison with Robert, her mom, Bindi, 27, can be heard sharing her approval in the background as Robert confirmed, “We did it.”
“10s, all 10s,” he said. “Everybody else can go home now, Grace has won.”
Of course, Robert gave Grace some props in his caption. “Grace is making sure my dance training continues when I get home,” he wrote. “She is prepped and ready for season 50 of @dancingwiththestars 👌😆😎.”
“Seriously so grateful I have my family here supporting me on this DWTS journey,” he added.
In the comments section, Bindi reiterated that the family is “so proud of” Robert, while reiterating his quotes alongside a laughing emoji: “Everybody else can go home now. Grace has won.”
The Irwin family has had Robert’s back since he joined the DWTS season 34 cast with his partner Witney Carson. After his week 1 performance on Sept. 16, he revealed that Bindi’s presence in the ballroom in particular meant a lot to him. “I can’t help but get emotional when I talk about my family, I just — they are everything to me,” Robert told Extra last week.
After his performance, he spoke with Bindi and revealed that what she told him really struck him: “I love you and I’m really proud of you.”

“This process is the most incredible whirlwind adrenaline rush — it’s the most beautiful thing and the most incredible thing I’ve ever gotten to be part of, and to have them there is everything to me,” he said of his family’s support, including that of his mom Terri Irwin. “I’m so lucky.”
He added that what really “made the night” for him was “the look on my niece’s face,” referring to little Grace. “She looked at me and she was like, ‘Yes!’ And I’m like, ‘If Grace is happy, I’ve won,'” the proud uncle said.
