Tulsa King is returning for season 3, with new episodes featuring more “blood and bourbon.” The Paramount+ crime dramedy stars Sylvester Stallone as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a former mob boss, who, after being released from prison, attempts to establish a crime empire in “The Sooner State.”

In the latest installment of Tulsa King, the General is up against some new enemies, including Jeremiah Dunmire, the “Tyrant of Tulsa,” played by Robert Patrick. Samuel L. Jackson also joins the cast as Russell Lee Washington Jr., who will be the focal point of the upcoming spinoff, NOLA King.

“I’ve been wanting to a play a gangster my whole life and it just never happened,” Stallone said in a September 2025 interview with TV Insider. “I am incredibly surprised by the success of this show, but I had a gut feeling that if I played it a little bit differently, and they surrounded me with a great cast, I thought we would pop.”

Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan is also the mind behind Tulsa King, which he also executive produces. Similarly, Stallone not only stars but has also written episodes, including for the upcoming season.

“The ending of this season, you are not going to believe,” the Creed star told TV Fanatic in September 2025. “You’re going to think Stallone has lost his mind. I’m telling you, I wrote this scene that really cracks the barrier of beyond the pale.”

On. Sept. 16, ahead of the season premiere, it was announced, per Deadline, that Tulsa King had been renewed for a fourth season. There is also the upcoming spinoff, NOLA King, starring Jackson.

According to the official description for NOLA King, Russell and Dwight first became friends while they were both serving time in jail. After his release, Russell visits Dwight in Tulsa and is inspired by the operation he’s running and his new life.

“Washington returns to New Orleans, the home he abandoned 40 years ago, to rekindle his relationship with his family, friends, and to take control of the city he left behind,” the logline reads, per The Hollywood Reporter.

There will be 10 episodes in season 3 of Tulsa King.

The second season, which concluded in November 2024, had 10 episodes, while the first season consisted of nine.
