A puppy was mauled to death by three dogs at a park — leaving his owner devastated.

The woman was walking her 5-month-old canine Wuwu in Sydney, Australia, when it was attacked by three other dogs at around 1:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, Sept. 18, 7 News Australia reported.

The owner, who has not publicly shared her identity, came across a middle-aged man with three dogs at the park. At that point, the woman told the outlet that two dachshunds “ran over and attacked Wuwu first,” followed by a Pitbull.

“Wuwu was bitten on his neck and bleeding a lot, and I had to cuddle him, screaming, but that owner didn’t even try to take back his dogs,” the woman told 7 News Australia.

Photos obtained by the outlet show the pet owner covered from head to toe in her dog’s blood and her own, after she was also bitten in the attack, per 7 News Australia.

After the attack, Wuwu’s owner rushed him to a vet, where she was told he would need to go to another clinic for a blood transfusion. However, the pup didn’t make it in time, and he died from severe blood loss, according to 7 News Australia.

“I’m so upset … he was turning six months old tomorrow,” the woman told the outlet.

The dog owner also said she asked the man with the three dogs at the park for his information at the time of the attack, but she said he “refused” to share it.

She managed to get a photo of the dog owner’s car, however, 7 News Australia reported.

In a post shared on a local community page, Wuwu’s owner is now urging people to help her find the owner of the dogs who attacked her puppy.

“If your dogs have attacked that many people, you should have put muzzles on them,” she wrote, per 7 News Australia, adding: “I’m asking for the community’s help to find this person and to remind everyone to please stay safe at the park.”

The New South Wales Police is investigating the incident, according to 7 News Australia. The department did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment. on Saturday, Sept. 20.
