KJ Smith, who plays Andi Barnes, found love on-set of the BET series, while other members of the Sistas fab foursome, like Ebony Obsidian and Mignon, have remained private about their personal lives over the years.

KJ Smith and Skyh Black started dating while filming Sistas. She has played Andi Barnes on all nine seasons of the series, and Skyh portrayed Jacobi on seasons 2 and 3.

The actors’ relationship turned romantic after season 2 of Sistas in January 2021, according to their episode of Refinery29’s Dear Black Love in April 2022. They got engaged in December of that year.

KJ and Skyh married on Sept. 3, 2023, at The Malibu Dream Resort. The star-studded ceremony was attended by their family, friends and Sistas costars.

“It was perfect. An experience. The Black Experience,” KJ told PEOPLE at the time.

In May 2025, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child. The couple have also recently relocated from Los Angeles to Atlanta, to be closer to their families, as they await the birth of their daughter.

“I want a home where all of our family can come, where we can host, where we can just create the memories and hang them up,” Skyh told PEOPLE in August 2025.

After Skyh departed Sistas, he joined the cast of the BET+ show All the Queen’s Men, which he has starred on for four seasons. The pair is also in the works of producing their first project through their newly launched banner Blackhouse Media, per Deadline.

Mignon plays Danni King, an airline supervisor who knows what she wants and tries to show others as well.

The actress keeps her personal life private, but in a December 2019 episode of the online series, Real Sista Talk, she told her Sistas costars, “I don’t date. Full stop.”

“It’s not that I don’t want to date … I refuse to bend to certain things,” she explained. “That may or may not be my problem. I wouldn’t want to say ‘problem,’ but I think that is the juxtaposition of the problem, and then also my salvation because I know … you have to be true to yourself.”

In a January 2022 interview with EURweb, Mignon said, “I’ve really been working on loving myself.”

“Here’s an area of my life not as strong as it should be, could be, want it to be so I’ve been working on my relationship with myself,” the actress continued. “Because I know when I love myself better I can love my neighbor better.”

The couple first met in college, when they were both attending Hofstra University in New York. They married in 2010, and have four children: Jackson, Kairo, Kaz and Dakota.

In a December 2024 interview with PEOPLE, Devale said he and his wife “have a healthy addiction to each other.”

“There’s not a day that goes by where we don’t talk to each other, and there’s not a day that goes by where we don’t FaceTime,” he continued. “We have to see and speak and talk about the day. We need that.”

In April 2025, they launched Ellis Ever After, their new podcast where they open up about their life, marriage and being parents.

“I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you! You were an unexpected gift to my life when I spotted you at that pool,” Dana wrote on her Instagram, sharing the video Anthony getting down on one knee to propose. “You brought laughter and security when I needed them most.”

In January 2025, Chris told PEOPLE how playing a villain on Sistas “has really been the most fun I’ve had working because I get to do something that’s totally different.”

Chris enjoys portraying Hayden, but he admitted that his favorite role is being a father.

“I love working on Sistas, but the thing I love about it the most is you do a season in two weeks and I’m right back to my family,” he said. “I get to just be with them almost the entire year. My favorite thing in the world is being a dad.”
