10 Best New Movies & Shows to Stream

We’ve been teasing the return of your favorite shows for the fall season for weeks, but this time it’s finally here as summer officially ends this weekend. No time to cry, time to binge!

This weekend, Sept. 20-21, we’ve got a plethora of titles for you as what we call Gilmore Girls season in the entertainment world starts to set in. In theaters, the first of what will surely be a number of frightening picks in weeks to come hits the big screen, produced by horror icon Jordan Peele himself.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, theaters are also showcasing a sweet romance movie starring two of Hollywood’s biggest stars right now.

On streaming, while you may be mourning the end of The Summer I Turned Pretty — which aired its finale this week — streamers have got you covered for your next binge with everything from everyone’s favorite reality competition dancing series to the latest Housewives installation.

And there’s more! Here’s a list of the 10 best new movies and shows to watch this weekend and where to stream them.

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey

If you could relive any past moment in your life, wouldn’t you? That is the premise of Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell‘s first collaboration, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.

As per the title, Sarah (Robbie) and David (Farrell) embark on a beautiful (and big and bold) journey after they cross paths at a wedding and fate (a.k.a. an apparently all-knowing GPS in their cars) leads them to doors to their past (literally). Together, they relive the most traumatizing and meaningful moments of their lives as they fall in love.

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey releases in theaters on Sept. 19.

Him

We all know that chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTEs, are common and potentially life-threatening in high-contact sports like football … but what if you add a cult-like coach, suspicious performance-enhancing drugs and Julia Fox into the mix? Then you really go crazy. And so Cameron Cade (Tyriq Withers) does in Him.

When Cade’s career is threatened by a brain trauma injury, he receives a lifeline from his hero, Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), a former football legend who runs a remote exclusive training facility alongside his wife, Elsie (Fox). But Cade quickly discovers there’s more than meets the eye in Isaiah’s training regimen, and has to decide: what is he willing to sacrifice to be the greatest?

Him releases in theaters Sept. 19.

After the shocking season 3 finale, The Morning Show is back with drama-filled and — dare we say it? — steamy plotlines.

But with great power comes great responsibility (not sure that Spider-Man would approve of this line in this context but we’re going with it!) and Manfredi has his hands full leading his people the right way this season.

Watch the season 3 premiere of Tulsa King on Sunday, Sept. 21, on Paramount+.

Black Rabbit

If you think you have beef with your siblings, nothing compares to the volatility of Jake’s (Jude Law) and Vince’s (Jason Bateman) relationship in Black Rabbit.

When Vince, a troubled addict, turns up at Jake’s door asking for help settling a gambling debt, Jake, a successful owner of the restaurant Black Rabbit, understandably, loses his marbles.
