Russell Wilson Says His Kids ‘Inspire’ Him to Play Football (Exclusive)

Russell Wilson is opening up about his four kids and how they inspire him as the quarterback for the New York Giants when speaking with PEOPLE exclusively at Macy’s x Rookie Kids: “Runway on Broadway” show on Thursday, Sept. 18.

“I think how my kids inspire me, it’s just their passion and love every day. I get to do what I love to do — that’s play football and do my day job, and try to do it really, really well,” the NFL star, 36, tells PEOPLE exclusively on the red carpet outside of Macy’s Herald Square flagship store in N.Y.C.

Wilson has three kids with wife Ciara: daughter Sienna Princess, 8, son Win Harrison, 5, and daughter Amora Princess, 1. He also shares son Future Zahir, 11, with the singer from her previous relationship with rapper Future.

In June 2021, the Giants QB — who is playing in his 14th NFL season, and first with the New York team after previous stints with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks — launched 3Brand, his own clothing line.

Now, Wilson is showing off his brand’s latest back-to-school collection as part of Macy’s x Rookie kids fashion show, and his three eldest kids walked the runway.

“I get to do fun things like this,” the athlete tells PEOPLE at the event, expressing his excitement over putting his “creative mind” to use through his passion project off the field “to be able to create a line for kids that is about motivation and inspiration.”

“It’s about sports, music, fashion, mind, body, soul, the next generation,” he adds of 3Brand, which was formed with the intention of empowering the youth to pursue their own dreams just like he and his wife “were able to do” themselves.

The fashion show, which was hosted by Wilson’s wife Ciara, also included brands outside of the New York Giants’ line such as Nike, Levi’s, Abercrombie Kids, Lacoste and Converse.

In addition to Wilson’s kids inspiring his NFL career, he shared how they inspire his endeavors off the field, as well.

“My kids, they also inspire me as I watch them playing sports,” he says. “And I’m like, ‘Oh, I got another idea. Let’s start working on jerseys, and let’s start working on things that can impact them,’ ” he explained.

“So, we have a big give back component — and I love them dreaming,” he continues. “I was a kid that was dreaming and I want every kid to dream just like I did, just like Ciara did.”

The 2025-26 season marks Wilson’s first year as quarterback for the New York Giants. He was drafted in 2012.

Wilson and the Giants are 0-2 to start the season after losses to the Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys, and hope to improve their record this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
