Josh Allen shared some fun insight on his relationship with wife Hailee Steinfeld.

During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday, Sept. 19, the Buffalo Bills quarterback, 29, revealed he sometimes helps Steinfeld, 28, as she prepares for her roles.

McAfee told Allen during a video call on the show that his wife sent him a text message about Steinfeld’s portrayal of Emily Dickinson in the AppleTV+ series Dickinson, and encouraged him to ask Allen if he ever runs lines with his wife. “I wouldn’t say that we run lines,” Allen replied. “I mean, she reads all of her scripts by herself and she’ll give me some updates on them,” he explained.

The NFL’s reigning MVP then revealed, “But, we will, at some points, kind of go off and do some improv stuff, so it’s pretty fun.”

Allen went on to gush over his wife, calling Steinfeld “an absolute stud” and “the best.”

The NFL star and Sinners actress tied the knot over the offseason in a romantic wedding ceremony in Santa Barbara, Calif. In her Beau Society newsletter after the big day, Steinfeld described her wedding as full of “love and magic.”

“It felt like love was running through the veins of every tree at our gorgeous venue in Santa Barbara,” she said. “Our family and friends coming together amplified it.”

The couple also opted to ban phones during the wedding, which Steinfeld explained was because, “We wanted everyone to come and be present.” The actress said it “was one of the best decisions we made” while reflecting on the ceremony.

Steinfeld and Allen — who were first romantically linked in May 2023 and made their relationship Instagram official in July 2024 — got engaged in November 2024 in Malibu, Calif.

The pair announced their engagement in a joint post on Instagram, sharing a photo of the romantic, rose-filled proposal. Allen captioned the post with their engagement date next to infinity symbols, writing, “♾️11•22•24 ♾️.”
