Hailey Bieber’s Dad Stephen Baldwin Praises Her, Says She’s ‘Done the Impossible’

Hailey Bieber‘s dad Stephen Baldwin is proud of her achievements.

During an appearance on Tori Spelling’s podcast misSPELLING on Wednesday, Sept. 17, Baldwin, 59, made some rare comments his 28-year-old daughter.

“I never talk about her, but my daughter has done the impossible,” he said. “But in this day and age, it’s not impossible. Young people are making unbelievable amounts of money on the internet, in ways that are very sketchy. So God bless her.” 

In addition to being an influencer with more than 55.5 million followers on Instagram and 16.5 million on TikTok, Bieber is the founder and chief creative officer of skincare company rhode, along with being a mom to 1-year-old son Jack Blues Bieber, whom she shares with musician husband Justin Bieber.

Back in May, Bieber announced that e.l.f. Beauty would be acquiring her beauty brand in a lucrative $1 billion deal.

A source told PEOPLE at the time that Bieber didn’t even have to look for a buyer.

“This deal came to her,” the source shared. “She’s incredibly excited about this new step. She’s proud of how far rhode has come, and she truly believes that teaming up with e.l.f will help take the brand to the next level. The resources and support they’re bringing to the table are everything she’s been hoping for.”

The insider continued, “To be acquired and recognized by such a powerful global company feels like such an honor to her. She can’t wait to take rhode global. She also received a generous cash payout as part of the deal.”

While speaking with Spelling, 52, Baldwin also discussed his faith and the importance of his family. He’s been married to Kennya Baldwin since 1990, and the couple welcomed Hailey’s older sister Alaia in 1993. Hailey joined the family three years later, in 1996. In addition to his grandson Jack, Baldwin is also grandfather to Alaia’s daughter Iris.

Baldwin’s comments come just over one year after a July 2024 interview in which Bieber hinted that she was “not close” with her family while pregnant with Jack Blues. ​​

“I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent,” Bieber told W Magazine. “I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family.”

In July this year, Baldwin praised Hailey’s husband Justin Bieber, saying on The Adam Carolla Show that both of his daughters “married great guys.”

He has also gushed that his grandson Jack Blues was “the best.” “He’s just a little muffin and he’s eating like a pig and looking cuter than ever,” Baldwin told PEOPLE in December 2024.
