The actor and celebrity photographer was involved in a car crash on Sunday, Sept. 14 and died due to injuries he sustained, his publicist, Paul Christensen, confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. He was 46.

Young was alone driving on the 134 Freeway in California late Sunday night after seeing a movie, Christensen told the outlet. His car was hit by a vehicle going the wrong direction, and the other driver was hospitalized and survived the incident. Young died on the scene.

He appeared in several major TV shows throughout his career, which kicked off in 1999 with appearances in Forever, Boy Meets World and Felicity.

Young also made one-off appearances on Charmed, Beverly Hills, 90210, The Practice, Charlie’s Angels and Grey’s Anatomy.

The actor has several movie credits to his name as well, including Rumor Has It…, Austin Powers in Goldmember, The Artist and, most recently, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in 2017.

In a statement, Christensaid told THR, “Brad’s passion for both the arts and the people behind them was unmatched. He lived his mission of keeping creativity alive, and his legacy will continue through Dream Loud Official.”

Young was also a celebrity photographer, and had a following of over 2 million on Instagram, where he shared his portraits.

Among the stars he’d photographed were David Harbour, Seth Green and Gavin Casalegno.

According to an Instagram post from last December, Young was also friends with the late Paul Walker, who died in 2013.

Calling the actor an “old friend,” he reflected on their friendship in a lengthy caption.

“Your friendship when I first moved to LA & generous amounts of advice will not soon be forgotten. Because of it I still pay it forward to any friends starting in the biz. ‘We all rise together’ as we so often would say,” he wrote. “Have a lot of fond memories with ya, but this night in particular is one of my fav favs, and I’ll tell those stories until the end of time.”

“One of my FAV things about you, was that over the years, at whatever point in your career you were in, you’d talk to me like no time had passed, like it was day 1, even if I hadn’t seen ya in years :),” Young continued. “And always appreciated ya asking about my fam.”
