How Many Books Are In The Summer I Turned Pretty Series?

There are three books in Jenny Han’s TSITP series, hence three seasons. Here’s the order in which they were released:

Will There Be A Season 4 Of The Summer I Turned Pretty?

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 is based on Book 3, We’ll Always Have Summer, which means TSITP‘s third and final season just wrapped. As much as it pains us to report, there’s no Season 4 of The Summer I Turned Pretty on the horizon, and when chatting with Entertainment Weekly ahead of Season 3’s premiere, Han even said, “Three books, three seasons. It feels right to me.”

Will There Be A The Summer I Turned Pretty Spin-Off Series?

Speaking of TSITP‘s future, some fans are hopeful for a potential spin-off series considering Han created XO, Kitty as a spin-off of To All The Boys, following the series’ huge success. At this time, there are no confirmed plans for a spin-off series either, but Han has been asked numerous times about continuing TSITP‘s story one day in some capacity, and she’s not completely counting a spin-off out!

In a recent interview with LATimes, Han said, “It has to feel like genuine excitement for me, because showrunning is 24/7, 365 days a year… I feel I have to be there every day to make sure I can stand behind it. I’m definitely open to doing more stories in the universe, it’s just that I want to figure out what the story is that I feel so compelled to tell it that I’m willing to spend the next few years throwing my whole body into it.”
