Naomi Watts’ Lands’ End Cardigan Looks Like This $80 Quince Sweater

Oh, how I just adore Naomi Watts’ style! 

And she just wore one of my favorite outfits I’ve seen her in to date: On Thursday, September 11, the 56-year-old actress stepped out in a free-flowing skirt, and some square-toe ankle boots that weren’t exactly made for — but are still perfect for — walking her dog in New York City.

However, the real star of the show was her sumptuous Lands’ End cashmere sweater. It looked light enough for those early fall days where the summer temperatures are still lingering, and it looked streamlined and sleek, unlike so many boxy cardigans I’ve fallen victim to. It also wasn’t cropped — which, these days, feels like a real rarity. The only thing I don’t love about Watts’ blanket-soft sweater is the price. It costs $200 even without the monogramming hers had, and I just can’t, in good conscience, spend that much on a single sweater. This Quince topper, on the other hand, I have no qualms about. 

It’s practically the same sweater. The camel color is right on the money, and it’s a whole $130 less than Watts’. It’s also made from 100 percent Mongolian cashmere that shoppers say is “luxuriously soft,” so there’s no skimping on quality.

And with that extra $130 I’m saving, I can get a skirt to match, too. This Banana Republic skirt has an A-line silhouette that’s not going to cling to the areas I’m trying to cover — nor will it make my legs all hot and sweaty, thanks to its breathable cotton fabric. It is indeed a maxi skirt, but it’s slightly shorter, so I can show off my boots (more on that below!) without also tracking snow, slush, or dirt everywhere I go.

Watts’ boots are too cute to resist copying. The color is like a burgundy-brown chameleon that could be either and certainly looks seasonal no matter which it is. The block heel is also manageable for everyday wear, while the ankle-high shaft means they won’t interfere with my pant legs.
