Mike Wolfe Discharged from Hospital Following Car Accident, Remains by Girlfriend’s Side

Mike Wolfe remains by his longtime girlfriend, Leticia Cline‘s side, following their serious car accident.

Representatives for Wolfe confirmed in a statement to PEOPLE that Wolfe and Cline were involved in an accident on Highway 7 in Columbia, Tenn., on the evening of Friday, Sept 12. 

Per previous Instagram Stories by the couple, they were riding in a vintage blue car when the incident occurred.

While Cline had previously detailed her injuries and said that her “mouth will be wired shut” as part of her recovery, representatives for Wolfe confirmed that they include “fractures to her jaw, sternum, and ribs, as well as a partially collapsed lung.” She was airlifted from the scene.

“She remains hospitalized and will undergo several surgeries once the swelling subsides,” the statement said.

Cline previously shared photos of herself at the hospital, walking with an IV drip of ketamine for her pain, and pictures of her neck brace. One image showed Wolfe resting on a chair next to her hospital bed.

Wofe’s representatives confirmed to PEOPLE that he has been “discharged and is remaining by Leticia’s side as she recovers.”

The American Pickers star was originally transported by an ambulance to the hospital and treated for a broken nose, an injured knee, and facial lacerations requiring stitches, per his representatives.

They shared with PEOPLE that “the couple and their families are grateful for the swift response of first responders and the outpouring of support they have received during this difficult time. They ask for privacy as Leticia continues her recovery.”

On Tuesday, Sept. 16, Cline shared more images from the hospital, including photos that showed her receiving visits from friends, playing Backgammon, drinking tea and taking a walk.

Wolfe and Clime have been dating since 2021, but initially kept their romance private. Last November, Cline marked Wolfe’s 60th birthday with a loving Instagram post filled with photos from a vintage car shoot.

“If we measured the sunsets, trips we’ve taken, concerts we’ve seen, people’s lives we’ve touched, animals we’ve helped, things we’ve loved then you’d be older than reality could comprehend,” she wrote. “A life well lived is not measured in years, but instead by how many people measure their lives by yours and you have such a beautiful life that over flows with it.”
