Long Island cop arrested for scamming sick fellow officer out of $200K, blowing it all on OnlyFans and luxury living

A Long Island cop swindled a sick fellow officer out of $200,000 with claims of business investment — but instead blew the cash on OnlyFans, gambling and luxury living like a new car, prosecutors said.

Nassau County police officer Leonard Cagno, 39, allegedly duped his colleague out of the cash as he recovered from an unnamed serious illness then blew it all within two months, cops said Wednesday as he was slapped with a grand larceny charge.

“The allegations here represent a shocking abuse of the essential trust that exists between fellow police officers,” Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney

Prosecutors said the Oakdale resident promised his fellow brother in blue that the cash would go into his company, BW Media Consulting — with the ailing friend expecting a return on the investment.

But Cagno allegedly took his colleague’s investment and siphoned it into a new vehicle, mortgage payments, credit card debt and tons of porn subscriptions, prosecutors said.

Investigators said Cagno also used the stolen cash for gambling and fine dining before he spent it all.

“This defendant is alleged to have preyed upon that trust for his own financial gain, and in so doing, violated one of the most important bonds in law enforcement,” Tierney continued.

The disgraced officer pleaded not guilty before Suffolk County Court Judge Jennifer Henry on Wednesday, charged with Second Degree Grand Larceny, and released without bail on his own recognizance.

Cagno has been with the Nassau police department since 2015, according to salary records, and is due back in court on Oct. 22.
