Britani Bateman is making some surprising revelations about her relationship with on-and-off boyfriend Jared Osmond.
During the season 6 premiere of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City on Tuesday, Sept. 16, Britani said her famous line — “I have an announcement” — before revealing that she and Jared had gotten engaged in December 2024, only to get “un-engaged” two weeks later.
“We just decided that our kids weren’t on board, and we really want our kids to be a part of it,” Britani, 54, explained to her castmates during a camping trip in south Utah. “They were not happy because we were so on and off last year. So, we decided to call it off.”
The episode included a phone video that Britani and Jared — the nephew of Donny and Marie Osmond — took right after their engagement.
“This gorgeous woman is changing her last name. Mrs. Osmond. I love this girl,” Jared said in the clip, as Britani showed off her diamond ring to the camera.

After Britani’s announcement, Heather Gay asked her if Jared is dating other women.
“No, I don’t think so,” she responded, adding that she and Jared still see each other “like every day.”
A surprised Whitney Rose revealed that she runs into Jared at the gym all the time, and “he appears single.”
“Let’s just say I never see him on a machine,” she explained. “I see him at the Lifetime cafe on dates — and he introduces me to them.”

The conversation then switched gears as Angie Katsanevas, who organized the camping trip, explained to the group that they’d be choosing between two activities for the day: kayaking and fly fishing.
Britani and Jared’s tumultuous relationship was first shown in season 5 of RHOSLC.
“Jared and I have been dating eight months, and we’ve broken up 16 times, I want to say,” Britani said during the first episode of the season.
In addition to Britani, Angie, Whitney and Heather, season 6 also features Mary Cosby, Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks.
