The Jonas Brothers Announce Gender of Fan’s Baby in Sweet Onstage Moment

The Jonas Brothers aren’t just performing for their fans at their concerts! 

During a stop in Utah on Saturday, Sept. 13, on their Greetings from Your Hometown Tour, the band helped with a fan’s gender reveal in a seriously sweet moment.

In a clip shared by a fan on X, Joe Jonas could be seen chatting to a fan and holding an envelope.

“I’m very excited about this,” Joe, 36, said in the footage as he held the envelope and walked away. “Let’s find our shall we?” he continued, before sharing that the group was first going to play their song “Little Bird” before doing the big reveal. 

The track is a tribute to the brothers’ daughters. While Joe is dad to Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3, with his ex-wife Sophie Turner, Nick Jonas shares Malti, 3, with his wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Kevin Jonas is father to Alena Rose, 11, and Valentina Angelina, 8, with his wife, Danielle Jonas.

“So many little birds tonight out there,” Joe said as the song came to an end, before joking that he “forgot” about the fan’s announcement. 

“Show me the baby,” he said as he opened the envelope. “Place your bets now. Just kidding. You can’t do that here.”

“It’s a girl!” Joe then screamed into the microphone as the stage lit up pink. “Congratulations.”

Last month, Joe opened up about raising two daughters and shared his perspective after growing up with only brothers. (He, Nick, 33, and Kevin, 37, also have a younger brother — Frankie Jonas — who is a 24-year-old actor and singer.)

During an appearance on the Aug. 5 episode of Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast with Nick and Kevin, Joe chatted about his experience as a parent and being a girl dad. 

“Boys are so different than girls,” Joe said. “I’ll watch my kids on the playground and it’s, like, delicate. And then this kid will be like, ‘Ahh!’ And dive off the top of the slide. And you’re just like, ‘That is a boy.’ ”

The DNCE singer went on to praise his “superstar” mom, Denise, for raising four sons.

“Four boys in one home. She was the boss, you know,” Joe said, adding that his mother made sure they had an “understanding of how to be nice guys to women.”

“Growing up, we needed a loud voice like her to be able to control us and also make sure that we weren’t, like, pieces of s—,” Joe continued. “I think that was important.”
