Josh Flagg bought a furnished Hamptons home for $8.6M
He Flagg-ed it first.
Josh Flagg has added another trophy property to his growing portfolio — this time in East Hampton’s tony Georgica section — officially purchasing a newly built home after spending just a week mulling it over.
The “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” star and luxury broker, along with his childhood friend and business partner Justin Gruenberg, snapped up the six-bedroom traditional for $8.45 million, shelling out an additional $150,000 for the furnishings, for a total of $8.6 million, sources told The Post.
The property was last asking $9.15 million, down from its original $10.85 million price when it hit the market last year.
The sale closed on Friday.
The 4,400-square-foot residence, designed by Brian Glasser, built by Phil Kaufman and developed by Robert Zecher’s Vault Development Partners, includes 1,500 square feet of covered outdoor terraces and balconies.
Sitting on half an acre, the home also features a pool, a pool house and a garage.
Inside, there’s a dramatic great room with 38-foot accordion glass doors that open to a bluestone-floored porch with a fireplace, an automated screen and an outdoor kitchen.
A chef’s kitchen and prep kitchen are located off the eat-in nook, while a junior primary suite occupies the ground floor.
Upstairs, the main bedroom boasts its own private balcony, while the basement level houses a rec room with built-in wine storage, two guest rooms and a laundry room.
The listing brokers were Martha Gundersen and Paul Brennan of Douglas Elliman.
The buyers weren’t the only big names tied to the house this summer.
Before Flagg and Gruenberg went into contract in early August, the home was being rented by Los Angeles-based producer David Zander, who has a taste for blue-chip real estate with backstories.
Zander is co-founder of MJZ, a global production company behind music videos, commercials and films. He was last in the Hamptons spotlight when he sold Lasata — the storied East Hampton estate where Jackie Kennedy Onassis spent childhood summers — to the fashion designer Tom Ford for $52 million in 2023.
Earlier this year, Zander made headlines again after spending $57 million on Rod Stewart’s former mansion in Los Angeles. A separate portion of that estate, which included a 1911-era cabin, sold for $29 million — bringing the total to $86 million.
Though Zander couldn’t be reached for comment, Flagg is already planning to put his own stamp on the Hamptons property.
Friends previously told Gimme Shelter the renovation plan is to “make it look more traditional” and give it “some soul so that it looks like it has been there for 100 years.”
It is unclear if he plans on living in the home himself or use it as an investment property. The Post has reached out to Flagg for comment.
He had been renting in Sagaponack before the purchase.
