Seahawks vs. Steelers, Eagles vs. Chiefs
Post sports gambling editor/producer and digital sports editor Matt Ehalt is back for his second season in the NFL Bettor’s Guide.
STEELERS (-3) over Seahawks
I don’t believe most of us expected to come out of Week 1 discussing how great the Steelers’ offense looked and how bad their defense performed.
Aaron Rodgers turned back the clock against the Jets in a vintage performance, which should lead to quite the frenzied crowd for his home debut Sunday.
The defense could be a reason for concern after being shredded by Justin Fields, but perhaps that can be chalked up to the Jets throwing a fresh look at them under a new offensive coordinator.
Seattle, meanwhile, had an inauspicious home opener against the 49ers.
There may be a 50-50 split at running back, which usually isn’t a good thing, and the passing offense could be cause for concern since Cooper Kupp did little in his team debut.
Back Pittsburgh to win by at least a field goal as Seattle makes the cross-country trip for a 10 a.m. PT start.

Eagles (-1) over CHIEFS
Picking against Patrick Mahomes as an underdog is risky, especially when he’s at home, but this is a tough spot here.
I’m not expecting Xavier Worthy to suit up for this one, leaving the Chiefs’ passing game to Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Travis Kelce.
Betting on the NFL?
Kelce looked a step slow against the Chargers, and it’s hard to envision Brown and Smith-Schuster leading an upset of the champs.
Kansas City also had virtually no rushing attack against Los Angeles. While the Chiefs’ offense was iffy, its pass rush also struggled in Week 1 and now faces one of the elite offensive lines.
These teams met seven months ago in the Super Bowl and Philadelphia won resoundingly, and Kansas City hasn’t closed the gap since.
The Eagles can win by at least a field goal.
2025 record: 1-1
2024 record: 16-27-1
