Charlie Kirk alleged shooter Tyler Robinson blamed ‘doppelganger’ for assassination in Discord chat
Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin Tyler Robinson sneered that his “doppelganger” was the one who gunned down the conservative activist in a Discord chat with his friends after his picture was put out by the feds, a report said.
The 22-year-old accused assassin’s chats with his pals lit up on the social media messaging platform after the FBI released grainy images of a lanky man clad in dark clothes in their hunt for Kirk’s killer, the New York Times reported.
One of his virtual buddies noticed the similarity and tagged Robinson in a post with the FBI images, writing ‘wya’ — short for ‘where you at?’ — alongside a skull emoji.
“Tyler killed Charlie!!!” another user wrote, the outlet reported.
Robinson – accused of blasting Kirk in the neck with one fatal bullet – shot back within a minute, insisting it was a look-alike trying to “get me in trouble.”
One pal even joked that they should try to get the $100,000 reward.
“Whatever you do, don’t go to a mcdonalds anytime soon,” one pal said in a nod to where Manhattan CEO killer Luigi Mangione was nabbed, the paper said.
