Prince Harry gives family advice to wounded soldiers after reuniting with King Charles

Prince Harry stressed the importance of family during a visit to Ukraine shortly after reuniting with his father, King Charles III, for the first time in over a year.

The “Spare” author was asked to speak in Kyiv Friday to wounded soldiers recovering from the conflict.

“You will feel lost at times like you lack purpose, but however dark those days are, there is light at the end of the tunnel,” he told them in a panel discussion, according to People.

“You just need to look for it, because there will always be someone — a mother, father, sibling, friend, or comrade — there to pick you up.”

Harry further encouraged the men and women to lean on their loved ones for support, adding, “Don’t stay silent. Silence will hold you in the dark.

“Open up to your friends and family, because in doing so, you give them permission to do the same.”

His words of wisdom come just two days after he met with Charles following a 19-month period apart.

Page Six learned earlier this week that the father-son duo got together on Wednesday at the King’s London home, Clarence House, around 5:20 p.m. local time for “a private tea.”

It was the first time they had seen each other since Harry flew to the UK after Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

Sources told Page Six that the Archewell Foundation founder went to the long-awaited visit with videos of his and wife Meghan Markle’s two young kids in an effort to re-establish family ties.

In May, Harry gave insight into what was fueling the ongoing rift with Charles in the first place.

He told the BBC at the time, “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has. He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.”

Following their latest reunion, a spokesperson for Harry told Page Six that the Duke of Sussex “obviously loved being back in the UK, catching up with old friends, colleagues, and just generally being able to support the incredible work of the causes that mean so much to him.”
