Bluesky posters threaten Trump, Elon Musk, Ben Shapiro, immediately after Charlie Kirk’s assassination, sick images show

Leftists on the X alternative Bluesky sent a barrage of threats to prominent conservatives and outspoken media personalities immediately after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated Wednesday. 

Posters called for Tesla tycoon Elon Musk, conservative podcasters Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh and Michael Knowles as well as “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling, to be “next” in the hours after Kirk, 31, was pronounced dead, according to screenshots shared by one user.

Some users called for outright violence, including one who wrote, “I hope they shoot Ben Shapiro next,” while another compared the violence to a “game of whack a mole.”

Shapiro, a close friend of Kirk, announced Thursday morning on his podcast, “The Ben Shapiro Show,” that he would be undertaking a college tour in the wake of the father of two’s murder during an event at a Utah college.  

“Charlie’s voice is not silent. We’re going to pick up that blood-stained microphone where Charlie left it,” Shapiro said. “And to those who would intimidate, who would seek to stop us, who would seek to end free discussion, who believe that they have ownership over public spaces and can violently threaten and kill people who speak freely.”

Rowling, who has received a torrent of abuse for her stance on transgender issues, wrote that “if you believe political opponents should be punished with violence or death, you’re a terrorist,” in a fiery statement on X.
