Teresa Giudice hits back at shock ‘RHONJ’ filming update
Teresa Giudice shut down rumors that the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” has been filming without her.
“Obviously they’re not, because if they were filming, it would actually be out there. So it’s just speculation and people putting stories out there,” the OG of “Jersey” told “Entertainment Tonight” on Tuesday.
“You really can’t believe anything you read unless Bravo is saying it,” she added, noting that no “actual pictures” of anyone filming have been released.
When asked if she could provide any more information about the upcoming season, her response was to “DM [direct message] Andy Cohen.”
Reports of “RHONJ” filming without Guidice first surfaced on Sept. 4 when a source told Us Weekly that “there are potential new cast members who filmed with Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania and Melissa Gorga in mid-August.”
“They want to see how the new girls work on camera with some veteran cast members from the show,” the insider further explained.
However, despite not being involved in the test shoot, Guidice, as well as Jackie Goldschneider and Jen Fessler, “are still in consideration to be part of the new season.”
A rep for Bravo also confirmed to Page Six that “no official casting decisions [had] been made” at the time.
Guidice’s comment comes days after her co-star Danielle Cabral teased a “RHONJ” return date, calling it “a fresh start.”
“They’re putting the pieces of the puzzle together, if that makes sense, and I can almost guarantee ‘Jersey’ fans will not be disappointed. So just hang tight, and I promise you ‘Jersey’ will deliver,” Cabral, 40, told Page Six exclusively on the VMAs red carpet.
“I think it’s gonna happen a lot faster than what you guys think, and I really hope to God it’s back to the good, ol’ days: Christmas, Halloween, the holidays. So hang tight. Wait a little longer, I promise!”
Although she could not confirm if she would be returning for Season 15, she was confident that “they’re going to get it right this time.”
Giudice, 53, has always been a Bravo favorite while starring on all 14 seasons of the franchise. In fact, the network even halted production when she went to prison for almost a year in 2015.
In 2023, Page Six exclusively learned that the series was “on pause” after Giudice’s years-long feud with her sister-in-law and costar, Melissa Gorga, had come to a head.
Although the show resumed for Season 14, relations among the cast got so contentious that their reunion was shut down entirely.
In July 2024, Andy Cohen confirmed that “RHONJ” was getting a reboot with “fresh faces” after weeks of speculation.
The Bravo exec’s most recent update came in June, when he revealed that production was actively casting to find new Jersey “Housewives.”
“We are doing casting on ‘Jersey,’” Cohen said on “The View.” “It was really on a deep pause and we are actively there, casting and looking at the future of what that will be.”
He reiterated that he and Bravo believe “RHONJ” is “a great franchise and we love it.”
