Mariah Carey’s 2025 VMAs Jewelry Boasted 270 Carats of Diamonds Valued at $10M

Mariah Carey hit the 2025 MTV VMAs in a look fit for an icon.

The “We Belong Together” singer, 56, attended the awards show — which took place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y., on Sunday, Sept. 7 – to accept the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and wore hundreds of carats in diamonds for her Video Vanguard performance and afterparty looks.

Carey performed a medley of her biggest hits while wearing a gold long-sleeve romper that was fully covered in dazzling rhinestones. She completed the look with matching gold knee-high boots, also covered in rhinestones. Carey dialed up the glamour with the addition of LEVUMA’s Rosée Éternelle diamond chandelier earrings and necklace and a sparkling bracelet by Etho Maria.

The Rosée Éternelle necklace and earrings, according to a press release, are valued at $10 million. The necklace, described as “an exquisite rivière design featuring 204.38 carats of white diamonds,” was handcrafted in the brand’s atelier in Antwerp, Belgium, and took over 600 hours to create.

The Etho Maria bracelet, styled by Wilfredo Rosado, contained 72.15 carats of diamonds. Carey also added two tennis bracelets to her left wrist and completed her jewels with a diamond-encrusted butterfly ring worn on her right ring finger.

Carey continued to rock the jewels all night. After having her career-spanning performance at the 2025 MTV VMAs, Carey hit the afterparty circuit in an all-black look that she completed with the same sparkling jewels from her stage look.

The “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer wore a strapless black leather minidress with a flirty, flared skirt. She added a matching leather bomber jacket and completed the look with sheer black tights and lace-patterned Christian Louboutin knee-high boots.

While Carey ditched some of the dazzling bracelets for her afterparty look, she kept the Rosée Éternelle diamond necklace and earrings on for the rest of the night — and added an oversize pair of black sunglasses.
