Lady Gaga is dedicating her 2025 MTV Video Music Awards wins to a special someone.
On Monday, Sept. 8, the Mayhem artist posted on Instagram, celebrating her four wins from the Sunday, Sept. 7 show, and penning a heartfelt message to her fiancé, Michael Polansky. The singer earned a total of 12 nominations for the MTV awards show.
“Dreaming up this album, making the plan, building every vision with you — talking endlessly about what we would create and do for monsters has been an experience I could not have ever imagined,” the singer, born Stefani Germanotta, began.
“I love how much you love my fans and want them to be happy 🖤. It fills my heart with happiness how much you love them because we get to love them every day together–you care as much as I do about people feeling seen in the world,” she continued.
“I’m forever grateful for how much you love and fight for me. You work so so hard with me from dawn till dusk every day living the music, performances, and plans with your blood sweat and tears — to see it through every step of the way this year I am the luckiest girl alive. I love you endlessly.”

As she continued, Gaga, 39, remarked on the couple’s creative collaboration on her sixth album, Mayhem. “Having your creative partnership in our art, business and in love–is a love I’ve never known,” she wrote.
“I know you to be a man of many talents, a true renaissance man, your mind and kind heart are what make you shine. I have seen there’s nothing you can’t do.””
“You are MY artist of the year. And the love of my life,” she wrote before concluding, “Thank you for making all our MAYHEM dreams come true 🖤. I love you.”
The Grammy winner’s touching tribute follows the shoutout she gave Polansky, 41, when she received Artist of the Year.
“To my partner in all things, Michael, creating this year with you was a beautiful, beautiful dream,” she said. “And you have been my partner every step of the way. I dedicate this to you, to my love.”

Gaga previously said it was Polansky who encouraged her to lean back into the “joy” of pop music, leading to the creation of her latest album. He is credited as a writer on a number of tracks, including “Disease” and “Vanish into You.”
At a tour stop in July, the Grammy winner also shouted out Polansky, calling him “the love of my life.”
She also revealed in March that her engagement to Polansky played a role in writing the song “Blade of Grass” from Mayhem.
“As a songwriter you need life to inspire your writing and if everything is promotion, then I’ll write about promotion and I won’t write about that special moment I shared with you where Michael asked me how I would want him to propose to me one day,” the singer said in an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music.
She continued: “We were in our backyard and I said, ‘Just take a blade of grass and wrap it around my finger.’ And then I wrote ‘Blade of Grass’ because I remembered the way his face looked and I remembered the grass in the backyard and I remember thinking he should use that really long grass that’s in the center of the backyard.”
Polansky ended up proposing to Gaga on April Fool’s Day, and they confirmed their engagement in July 2024.
