Kelly Osbourne has found her “smile again” after the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne.
In an Instagram post shared on Monday, Sept. 8, Kelly, 40, said she has found happiness in being with birds while grieving over her late dad as she shared a photo of herself smiling with an owl perched on her arm.
“In all my sadness and grief, I have found something that truly makes me happy!” Kelly wrote alongside the image on her Instagram Stories. “I never thought I would find my smile again through falconry but I did.”
“I absolutely love being with the birds!” she added.
In a following video shared, Kelly smiled at the owl as it sat perched on her gloved hand while standing in a field. The owl flew away and Kelly followed the bird around the field, raising her arm before it returned to her seconds later. “You are great,” she then said to the owl.

Kelly’s latest post comes after she candidly spoke about grieving her dad Ozzy on her Instagram Stories in early August following the rocker’s death at the age of 76 on July 22. Osbourne died at Harefield Hospital in west London of a cardiac arrest, per his death certificate.
“The love, support, and beautiful messages I’ve received from so many of you have truly helped carry me through the hardest moment of my life,” she wrote, thanking her fans for their support.
“Grief is a strange thing, it sneaks up on you in waves — I will not be ok for a while, but knowing my family is not alone in our pain makes a difference,” she continued. “I’m holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind.”

On July 30, Ozzy was laid to rest at a private funeral with friends and family. At the service, Kelly performed in tribute to her late father, Metallica bassist and member of Ozzy’s backing band, Robert Trujillo, revealed in an interview.
“It had been raining at the beginning of the service … and then as it sort of progressed through the service, the weather would change and different things would happen,” Trujillo said on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk on Aug. 7.
“When Kelly was singing, her lyrics flew. Like the wind blew her lyrics away. It was almost like Ozzy was having fun with her,“ he recalled of the special moment.
The private funeral was preceded by a funeral procession through the “Crazy Train” singer’s hometown of Birmingham, England. Kelly joined mom Sharon Osborne and siblings Jack, Aimee and Louis as they viewed the many tributes on the Black Sabbath bridge that had been left by fans.
