Homeless perv busted for sex attack inside NYC nail salon as twisted new details emerge: DA

A 35-year-old vagrant was busted for a twisted Labor Day sex attack where he cornered a woman inside a Brooklyn nail salon before she whacked him with a vacuum, officials said Monday.

Joseph Wichard was picked up at a Harlem homeless shelter then sent to Rikers Island without bail on charges of sexual abuse and attempted rape for the horrific Sept. 1 attack, prosecutors said.

The attack unfolded inside the shop on West 36th Street near Broadway shortly after 6 p.m., when the brute allegedly barged into the shop and attacked the 34-year-old victim.

But Wichard got more than he bargained for.

The creep pushed the woman into a corner and forcibly removed her pants and underwear, then began fondling her, according to a criminal complaint filed in the case.

The woman managed to break free, but her attacker caught up with her and dragged her back inside.

That’s when the victim smashed him in the head with a vacuum cleaner, knocking his New York Mets baseball cap from his head and forcing the creep to run off, the complaint said.

The woman, who suffered minor injuries, was hospitalized in stable condition.

It was not immediately clear whether she is an employee of the nail salon.

Meanwhile, cops tracked Wichard down to a Harlem homeless shelter on Saturday and slapped on the handcuffs.

He was arraigned Sunday on first-degree attempted rape and first-degree attempted sexual abuse and ordered held without bail.
