Gigi Hadid Reveals She Auditioned for Lead Acting Role After Being Inspired by Bradley Cooper

Gigi Hadid is a multi-talent!

The supermodel, 30, opened up in a cover story for Vogue’s October 2025 issue about her personal and professional life, including her longtime friendship with Kendall Jenner, 29, and newfound ventures fueled by her boyfriend, Bradley Cooper.

Per Vogue, Hadid’s relationship with the 12-time Academy Award nominee has fed her creative ambitions since they were first linked in early October 2023. Acting, specifically, has been one of them.

In fact, the mom of one revealed that she auditioned for the role of Rapunzel in a live-action imagining of Tangled. She went through great lengths to prepare, including taking singing lessons during Fashion Month.

“What do we do in this job anymore that scares us?” she asked Jenner, who starred alongside her in the cover shoot for Vogue.

Hadid didn’t get the part, reported Vogue, noting that the film is seemingly on pause. Regardless, she was content with her performance.

“I was really proud of my scene,” she told Vogue. “The singing… I knew they were going to go with a real singer, but I’ll show you my audition scene later.”

To which Jenner replied, “I’m stoked… I need to see.”

The couple has “grown more serious” since they first sparked romance rumors in October 2023, a source previously told PEOPLE.

In April 2025, the model described her relationship to Vogue as a “very romantic and happy dynamic.” She added, “I respect him so much as a creative, and I feel that he gives so much to me: encouragement and, just, belief.”

When Hadid celebrated her 30th birthday in May 2025, she made her romance with Cooper Instagram official by posting a photo with him on her page for the first time after nearly two years of dating.

Elsewhere in the Vogue October 2025 cover story, Hadid and Jenner looked back on their longtime friendship that dates back to their teenage years growing up alongside each other in Malibu and Calabasas, Calif., respectively.

They recounted the whirlwind trajectory their lives, both personally and professionally, have taken as two forces in the fashion industry.

“I was your biggest fan,” Jenner told Hadid, referencing their early modeling go-see days in New York City. “And once we started to work together and do shows, I remember those early seasons — we would do the whole month together.”

The pair was also joined by a love away from the runway: horseback riding. The Vogue shoot was centered on their passion for the outdoorsy lifestyle, shot at a ranch in Jackson Hole, Wy., (horses, cowgirl boots and all).

Above all, their bond exceeds a friendship — with Jenner making clear, “We’re sisters more than we’re friends.”
