Christina Haack and Ant Anstead Reunite to Celebrate Son’s 6th Birthday

Christina Haack and Ant Anstead reunited to celebrate their son.

The British automotive expert, 46, shared a recap on Instagram from their “miracle boy” Hudson’s 6th birthday party. The joint post featured several photos from Hudson’s big day over the weekend, including a sweet shot of the Flip Off co-host, 42, Anstead and their son smiling together.

“Hudzo explained it’s his ‘golden birthday’ as he’s 6 on the 6th! Legend!” Anstead wrote in the caption. “Weekend celebrating our miracle boy with a CHAOS filled party we all gone need a lay down Hudzo we love you Xx.”

“So fun. 💙💙,” Haack commented on the joint post.

Haack and Anstead, who tied the knot in December 2018 before divorcing in June 2021, welcomed their son Hudson on Sept. 6, 2019. At the time, both the HGTV star and the TV host had two children from previous relationships.

In her own birthday tribute to Hudson, Haack shared several photos of her son with his siblings throughout the year.

“Happy 6th birthday to my baby! Hudson lights up our home and every room he’s in 🌟… Sweet, kind, smart and has sooo much energy (especially at bedtime 😉 ). We love you so much 🥰 ❤️” she wrote.

While the two have a better relationship now, they spent several years on opposing sides after they split in 2020. During his appearance as a guest judge on the Feb. 19 episode of HGTV’s The Flip Off, the Born Mechanic host got candid with Haack about their regrettable behavior towards one another following their separation.

After expressing how he’s grateful he and Haack are on better terms now, Anstead said he’s disappointed about how many “really difficult” years it took them to get there.

“Hudson is 5 now,” he began. “As parents, it took us four and a half years to get to that point, which is really shameful.”

“You and I will be connected forever because we have a kid. So ultimately, I have to stand by the mother of my kid,” he continued. “It puts Christina and me on the same team forever. Because of that, this judge is swayed, she’s on my team and [Tarek and Heather] lose.”

Since their reconciliation, Haack and Anstead have been showing off their newly rectified relationship. The exes posed together for a photo with their son, before they shared it as a joint Instagram post. In the photo, the two proud parents stood in all-black outfits with Hudson in the middle in Anstead’s arms.

“Our little gentleman CRUSHED his school performance this morning 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥰,” the former couple wrote in the caption. “He’s thriving x.”

On Friday, March 28, the father of three shared the one specific quality he thinks his son gets from his mom. On his Instagram Stories, Anstead shared an adorable snap of Hudson, who can be seen giving two thumbs up over a plate of pancakes, strawberries and blueberries.

“Hahaha!! And I quote ‘daddy I think you should make me pancakes as it’s your birthday,’ ” Anstead wrote over the photo. “He doesn’t get his negotiating skills from me….. @christinahaack 🧐.”

In response, Haack reshared the photo via her own Instagram Stories, adding “ABC… Happy Birthday @ant_anstead!! 🎊.”
