‘Big Brother 27’ star Mickey Lee reacts to Rachel Reilly elimination
Justice for Rachel Reilly.
Some “Big Brother” viewers are enraged over the Season 13 winner’s shocking elimination from Season 27.
Following Mickey Lee’s eviction last Thursday, the live feeds went dark for a full day — and when they returned, Reilly, 40, had been eliminated through a safety chain competition, rather than a traditional house vote.
In her exclusive interview with The Post on Monday, Lee, 35, weighed in on the fandom’s “outrage” over Reilly’s elimination, which will play out on Tuesday’s episode of the CBS show.
“I do think they did my girl a little wrong,” Lee said. “Getting her out on a comp is what I’m hearing. I’m like, yikes, that does really suck. I do think she should have at least gotten the right to get voted out versus just comped out.”
“But they say expect the unexpected in Big Brother,” the event curator added. “And when they say that, they literally mean just that. So prime example.”
After having a turbulent relationship with Reilly during the season and bashing her in some of her exit interviews, Lee changed her tune about her feelings towards the reality icon.
“Rachel and I had our ups and downs, but regardless of the fact, I do love that woman,” Lee told The Post. “I think she’s an exceptional girl.”
Lee also addressed her relationship with Morgan Pope, after claiming on “Big Brother: Unlocked” that she was going to block the 33-year-old gamer on social media.
“So when I said that, obviously I was being funny. Meaning I don’t really care to see things,” Lee said.
“I did follow through with my blocking. Yes, I did block,” she revealed. “And that’s mainly just to keep out things that I don’t really need to see at this moment. If you have a person that everyone is saying that was attached to your demise in the house and someone that you trusted so much and that you were trying to stay loyal to that kind of stabbed you in the back a little bit… It’s kind of like a boyfriend that you broke up with — you don’t really want to see them immediately. That’s kind of the feeling right now.”
“Now, will she stay block forever? Probably not,” Lee admitted, “because I’m not a Bitter Betty. But she’ll stay blocked for a little bit.”
In addition, Lee shared her thoughts on the online chatter about Pope’s close relationship with Vince Panaro, who has a girlfriend of seven years outside the house.
“I’m very surprised at how big it’s gotten, for sure,” Lee said. “Now of course being in the house you see things that go on, so am I surprised people think things? No, I’m not. But am I surprised that it’s become this whole big thing? Yes, I am.”
“I don’t really know what Vince and his girlfriend’s boundaries look like,” Lee continued. “Every relationship is different. So I’m not sure what they had an understanding of before he went into that house.”
“But if I was in a relationship with Vince, I don’t think I would love what I’m seeing,” Lee added. “But that’s from the outside looking in.”
“Big Brother” airs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week on CBS and streams on Paramount+.
