Ashley Tisdale Celebrates Daughter Emerson’s Milestone First Birthday

Ashley Tisdale‘s daughter reached a major milestone.

On Sunday, Sept. 7, the High School Musical alum, 40, shared a recap of her daughter Emerson’s first birthday party celebration on Instagram.

Tisdale, who shares her two daughters with husband Christopher French, posted several pictures of her with her daughter on her big day, including a shot of her in a petting zoo, an adorable picture of the family of four and a snap of Emerson with her whimsical butterfly cake. 

“Emerson turns one 🦋🎂,” Tisdale wrote in the caption.

On Saturday, Sept. 6, the proud mom also penned a touching message to her daughter to commemorate her first birthday. In the post on Instagram, Tisdale featured pictures from her daughter’s first year, saying her daughter has “been on the fast track growing and I’m just trying to slow down time.”

“Emerson clover 🍀 how are you already 1?!” she wrote. “You are the happiest baby, you came out smiling and you haven’t stopped. You have been on the fast track growing and I’m just trying to slow down time.”

She added, “You complete our family and I’m so grateful to have another beautiful lil girl, you are gonna light up the world Em! I love you so much ❤️❤️.”

In addition to Emerson, Tisdale is also a mother to daughter Jupiter, 4, whom she welcomed with French in 2021. Between finding time for herself and juggling her career, Tisdale told PEOPLE in February 2023 that she struggles with “mom guilt.”

“I still am trying to find the work-life balance. She’s just the best thing in the entire world. She’s always so much fun,” she said of Jupiter.

Tisdale and her older daughter recently were “Defying Gravity” together during a special Broadway outing.

On Sunday, Jan. 20, the actress shared pictures and videos of her daughter Jupiter enjoying backstage access to Broadway’s Wicked. In addition to her backstage pass, Jupiter had the special opportunity to wear Glinda’s crown.

“New York thank you for making this 3 year old dreams come true!” she wrote in her Instagram caption. “@wicked_musical this will forever be a core memory, so grateful for all of you making it so special ❤️.”
