Ashley Tisdale Celebrates 11 Years of Marriage with Husband Christopher French

Ashley Tisdale is celebrating what she called the “best decision” she ever made — marrying her husband, Christopher French.

To mark the couple’s 11th wedding anniversary on Monday, Sept. 8, the Phineas and Ferb star shared a photo from their 2014 nuptials on Instagram, along with a sweet message for French, 43.

“How was this 11 years ago?! 😭🥰❤️ Happy Anniversary my love @cmfrench,” Tisdale, 40, wrote. “Best decision I have ever made, love of my freaking life!”

The composer shared an anniversary post of his own on his Instagram. Also showcasing one of the couple’s wedding photos, he wrote to Tisdale: “11 years ago, just a couple kids in love, not knowing a little over a decade later we’d be sharing our anniversary with our SECOND daughter’s birthday 😆.”

The couple’s younger child, Emerson, was born on Sept. 6, just two days before their Sept. 8 anniversary. They are also parents to 4-year-old daughter Jupiter.

“What an adventure,” French continued in his post. “I love you endlessly, still so grateful to wake up with you every day. Happy Anniversary my love 💘.”

Tisdale replied in the comments, “I love you!!!”

Back in July, the High School Musical star opened up to PEOPLE about her marriage — and how she and French keep their relationship strong.

“No matter what in life, things change,” she said at the time. “I think the biggest thing is to always just try to stay on the same page throughout that.”

“Communication is key on everything. That’s a big one for us,” she added.

Tisdale noted that she and French benefited from having six years of marriage under their belts before starting a family.

“We definitely had a really good foundation of years to just learn about each other before having kids, which I think is so important because just kids change everything,” she told PEOPLE.

She explained, “One of the things I noticed is that it brings out the flaws more in each other — the flaws that you’ve always known about your person. You’re like, ‘Oh, it’s fine.’ But then when you have kids, it is, ‘Oh my God.’ It bothers you more for some reason.”

Last year, Tisdale and French celebrated their milestone 10th anniversary with a getaway to a tropical locale.

The actress shared a series of highlights from the trip on Instagram in November, writing, “10 year anniversary trip (2 months late). So so grateful for you @cmfrench ❤️.”

Photos and clips showed the couple kissing on a beach, a stunning sunset they witnessed and some of the trip’s romantic details — including chocolate-covered strawberries, a bouquet of roses, and white flower petals in the shape of a heart on their bed.

On the date of their 10th anniversary last September, Tisdale shared a touching Instagram post for French, writing in part: “10 years married with the love of my life. … I’m so grateful for you Chris and know how lucky I am bc you are such a good man Charlie Brown.”
