All About Patrick Schwarzenegger’s Wife, Abby Champion

Patrick Schwarzenegger and Abby Champion are officially married.

The couple, who have been together since 2015, exchanged vows during an intimate lakeside wedding overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene in northern Idaho on Sept. 6.

Schwarzenegger and Champion announced their engagement in December 2023. In February 2025, the actor shared with PEOPLE the moment he realized she was the one.

“[It was when I saw] how much she values family and how similar our core values are,” he said. “Over the years, I just continuously fell in love with her more and more, with the kind of human that she was becoming.”

As their relationship has flourished, so have both of their respective careers — his as an actor in projects like The White Lotus, and hers as a model for some of the world’s biggest fashion brands.

So, who is Patrick Schwarzenegger’s wife? Here’s everything to know about Abby Champion and her relationship with the actor.

She is from Birmingham, Alabama

Champion grew up in Birmingham, Ala., with her three siblings. Regarding her southern upbringing, Champion told her local hometown news outlet Vestavia Voice in a February 2016 interview that growing up in Alabama was “amazing.”

“It teaches you to have good manners, enjoy good food and reminds me of the importance of faith and family,” she shared with the publication.

In April 2019, she told LOVE magazine that she grew up on a “quiet street” in Birmingham and that her family had lots of land. Based on her Instagram, Champion still makes trips home to see her siblings in Birmingham.

Her modeling career began by accident

Champion’s older sister Baskin was a model first, serving as Miss Teen Alabama in 2014 before representing their home state at the national pageant the following year.

Champion later revealed to Vestavia Voice that she was first scouted at one of her sister’s pageants. A recruiter approached her while she was watching Baskin at the 2014 Miss Teen USA event, and asked her if she had any interest in modeling.

Champion also told the outlet she was able to “watch and learn from [Baskin] as she began,” and that they both were signed to agencies around the same time. The sisters even did a shoot together for the fashion brand Aeropostale and modeled together at Birmingham Fashion Week in 2015.

She’s modeled for some of the biggest fashion brands in the world

Since being signed by Next Models Worldwide in 2014, Champion has starred in print and digital campaigns — along with walking the runway — for some of the most recognizable fashion houses in the world. She counts Prada, Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Givenchy and more among the many brands she’s worked with.

In June 2021, Champion discussed her budding career with V Magazine, saying she felt a spark for modeling at her very first fashion show.

“That show, for me, made me want to work hard to be able to do many more shows. There was so much adrenaline and power that I saw the other girls hold that made me love it so much,” she shared.

In March 2025, Schwarzenegger joined Champion in posing for SKIMS’ Wedding Shop campaign. The couple modeled the brand’s new honeymoon-ready lingerie and underwear, which Schwarzenegger said in a press release only made him “more excited” for his own wedding day.

She is supportive of Schwarzenegger’s career

Champion is always right by her husband’s side for every milestone in his career, whether it be for his acting roles or for his modeling gigs.

News in September 2019. “I always say that in a relationship, you have to be each other’s biggest cheerleader. Build each other up. And she does that for me.”

Schwarzenegger returns the favor often and praises Champion for her work ethic. He sang her praises while talking to PEOPLE in February 2025.

“Now to see her, when I walk down the street, on every billboard of Chanel or Celine or Victoria’s Secret … it’s just such a great thing to watch how much she’s grown and how determined she is and how hardworking she is and how she has such a vision for her life,” he said.

The couple combined their modeling talents and starred together in a 2019 Calvin Klein Jeans campaign. Then, in November 2022, Schwarzenegger and Champion appeared in Vogue after shooting a fashion feature in Germany.

She spends a lot of time with Schwarzenegger’s family

Schwarzenegger is the son of actor Arnold Schwarenegger and Kennedy family member Maria Shriver. In 2019, his sister, Katherine Schwarzenegger, married actor Chris Pratt.

As evidenced by his Instagram, Schwarzenegger spends a lot of time with his famous family, and Champion does too. She spent Easter with the Schwarzenegger family in 2020 and has attended a number of family vacations. Champion even joined Shriver on a bike ride in L.A. during the early days of quarantine.

She isn’t big on using social media

While Champion is active on Instagram, she shared in an April 2017 video for NEXT Models that she uses the platform mainly for work purposes.

Champion opened up about her online presence to V Magazine in 2021, saying, “The most enduring lesson I’ve learned from being in the public eye is that so much of what you see is fake and people can be so hurtful online. I don’t take anything personally or ever believe what I see on the internet.”

That hasn’t stopped Schwarzenegger from gushing over her in social media posts of his own, though — including on her birthday each year.

“Happy birthday to my queen! My ride or die,” he wrote on Instagram in February 2025. “Crazy to think we fell in love 10 years ago!! So proud of the human you are. You continue to inspire me. It’s been a blessing to be on this journey with you & I can’t wait to watch where life takes us.”

They got engaged in December 2023

After dating for several years, Champion and Schwarzenegger announced their engagement on Instagram on Dec. 26, 2023.

The pair also shared several snaps from the proposal, including one sweet shot of Schwarzenegger planting a kiss on Champion’s cheek as she showed off her new engagement ring.

After the actor popped the question, they celebrated with a cake that featured a photo of the two of them and read, “Congratulations.”

They got married in September 2025

The couple tied the knot on Sept. 6, 2025. Champion walked down the aisle in a sleeveless white gown, while Schwarzenegger wore a white tuxedo jacket and black pants.

The wedding took place at Gozzer Ranch Golf & Lake Club in northern Idaho and was attended by close friends and family, including Rob Lowe and Schwarzenegger’s White Lotus costar Jason Isaacs, per the Daily Mail.
