Who Is Brock Purdy’s Wife, Jenna Brandt?

Brock Purdy is starting another NFL season with the San Francisco 49ers, and his wife Jenna Brandt is cheering him on.

The couple were once students at Iowa State University at the same time, where he played football and she was on the volleyball team. Brandt later transferred to the University of Northern Iowa, but they were engaged by July 2023. Purdy and Brandt married less than a year later in Des Moines, Iowa, in March 2024.

Brandt has been Purdy’s biggest cheerleader, even after he was dubbed “Mr. Irrelevant” as the last pick of the 2022 NFL draft. Purdy proved everyone wrong when he started for the 49ers and defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, along with Tom Brady. The following season, the quarterback led the 49ers to the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

When the Niners clinched their spot in the coveted game, Brandt congratulated Purdy on the field. “The BEST feeling. God is good – all the time,” she captioned a photo and video of the pair embracing after the win.

Now, the pair have entered parenthood. In July 2025, Purdy and Brandt announced they had welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Millie Joleen Purdy.

She grew up in Iowa

Brandt was born on Oct. 26, 1999, and grew up in Sumner, Iowa, with her parents and three siblings.

She attended Sumner-Fredericksburg High School, where she played on the volleyball team all four years and was a two-time team captain. Brandt also competed in track and field and played on a club volleyball team.

At the start of her senior year, she committed to Iowa State University‘s volleyball team and graduated from high school in 2018.

She and Purdy attended Iowa State together

After graduating from high school, Brandt headed to Iowa State in Ames, Iowa, where she declared a major in Kinesiology. That same year, Purdy also committed to Iowa State, making them freshmen simultaneously.

She was a competitive volleyball player throughout college

Brandt continued her volleyball career throughout college as a setter for the Iowa State Cyclones. During her freshman year, she also tried out for the U.S. Collegiate National Team and the USA Women’s Volleyball National Team fold. She went on to play with the Cyclones for three seasons, including on a trip to South America to compete against international teams.

Then, in late 2020, Brandt announced her plans to transfer to the University of Northern Iowa, writing on Instagram that she was thankful for the “opportunities, experiences and friendships” she made at Iowa State. The student athlete added that she was “pumped to join the Panther family.”

In 2022, Brandt finished her collegiate volleyball career, calling it a “dream come true to wear” the UNI jersey and thanking the university for the “life changing experience.”

She and Purdy went Instagram official in November 2022

Although Brandt and Purdy had made some social media appearances together during the summer of 2022, they didn’t make things Instagram official until November of that year.

In a post on Brandt’s account, she shared a series of photos featuring Purdy and her family spending time on a farm.

Brandt captioned the slideshow, “my roots and my boy,” while Purdy chimed in the comment section to call Brandt “my girl.”

In July 2023, Purdy proposed to Brandt on a dock in Saint Cloud, Fla.

“My Jenna girl forever. I can’t wait to be your husband and grow together in Christ. Here’s to forever babe. I love you JB!” the quarterback captioned a series of engagement photos on Instagram.

In a separate Instagram post, Brandt wrote, “WE GET TO DO LIFE TOGETHER…FOREVER! Brock Purdy – I love everything about you & your heart for Jesus more than any words can say.”

On March 9, 2024, Brandt and Purdy got married in Des Moines. The former volleyball player walked down the aisle in a strapless, mermaid-style wedding gown, while the 49ers quarterback donned a black tux.

She and Purdy became parents in July 2025

In July 2025, Brant and Purdy announced via a joint Instagram post that they had quietly become parents, offering the first glimpse of their baby girl in a black-and-white photo of the family of three together for the first time.

“Millie Joleen Purdy🩷 Life just became a whole lot sweeter,” the caption read.

In August 2025, Brandt followed it up with photos from her maternity shoot featuring Purdy in another Instagram post, writing, “Our little secret🤍.”

She’s been a big supporter of Purdy’s NFL career

As a fellow athlete, Brandt has been encouraging of Purdy’s football career. She has been spotted at several 49ers games — including the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas — completely decked out in team merchandise.
