Ariana Grande is bringing her signature style to the 2025 MTV VMAs.
On Sunday, Sept. 7, the pop star, 32, arrived at the UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y., wearing a black custom Fendi dress covered in white polka-dots.
The strapless dress cinched the pop star’s waist before flaring out into a peplum with a contrasting polka-dot pattern in pink and black. The dress dropped into a slim-fitting skirt with a slit at the back, which showed off Grande’s black satin peep-toe heels.
The dress was notably inspired by a similar Fendi dress worn by designer Silvia Venturini Fendi in the 1980s, according to a press release.

Grande accessorized the look with her signature ponytail, a matching black bow with white polka dots, dainty studs and rings. For her glam, the star wore blush pink tones on her lips and cheeks to match the hint of pink in her dress and added a sultry flick of eyeliner across her lids.

The “We Can’t Be Friends” singer was styled by Law Roach for the evening, who took to Instagram with several photos of the star. “And then THIS happened….. WE ARE BACK @arianagrande wearing custom @fendi @swarovski,” he wrote.
The look also calls back to actress Audrey Hepburn, who wore a white dress with black polka dots to the 1988 Academy Awards.
