Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson reunite for daughter True’s first day of school

Khloé Kardashian and ex Tristan Thompson came together to celebrate their daughter True’s first day of school — despite their complicated past.

In an Instagram carousel shared Friday, the reality TV star, 41, celebrated True’s first day of second grade with an elaborate backdrop including a giant pink book and pastel balloons. In the final photo, the NBA star, 34, snuggled up with 7-year-old True, while the Good American co-founder posed with their son, Tatum, 3.

True wore a school uniform of a navy blue top and plaid skirt, paired with white sneakers, while her little brother rocked a white T-shirt and black shorts — to match his mama’s white crop top with black leggings. Tristan, meanwhile, wore a black and white track suit and ditched his shoes for the pic.

In an additional post shared to Instagram Stories, Kardashian shared a repost of side-by-side photos of True’s first days of first and second grade to show how much she’s grown.

“Just like that, my baby is off to 2nd grade,” the “Kardashians” star captioned the upload, adding that “Time is flying faster than I ever imagined — it feels like I blinked and my baby grew up.” Kardashian gushed that she’s “so proud of the respectful, sweet, loving, smart, beautiful girl she is.”

“But man this all happens so quickly. In a blink 🥺,” she continued. “Wishing my sweet True endless joy and asking God to watch over her always and forever. 💖📚✨”

The Khloud founder concluded the post by confessing her two children with the Cleveland Cavaliers player “make me melt!”

“Their smiles and bond are everything to me! 💕✨”

Fans flooded to the comments thread to weigh in on True’s milestone. “I love how you make moments so special! You are building such core memories for your children ✨,” wrote one follower, while another chimed in, “A True mother, a True blessing! Love you Koko queen! 👑🥹🥰🫶❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

“It wasn’t long ago that you were pregnant with True, she’s growing so fast 🩷🥹,” remarked a third follower, to which Kardashian replied, “It’s absolutely crazy how fast all this goes by.”

Tristan and Khoe’s on-off relationship peaked in 2018, when they welcomed True. But the former couple suffered bumps along the way — he was once allegedly caught smooching Kylie Jenner’s best friend Jordyn Woods at a house party.

The pair ultimately separated before reconciling in fall 2021 — just months before personal trainer Maralee Nichols accused the athlete of impregnating her while he was still dating Kardashian.

In January 2022, Thompson apologized for the indiscretion and confirmed he is the father of Nichols’ child, Theo. “Khloé, you don’t deserve this,” he wrote in part at the time.

“You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you.”

In July, however, Kardashian stunned fans when she confirmed through her rep that she and Thompson were expecting their second child via surrogate. They welcomed Tatum to the family in August 2022.

Thompson is also dad to son Prince Oliver, 8, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig.

The former couple has since put the drama behind them, and continue to maintain a friendly co-parenting relationship — with the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star even stepping up to care for Tristan’s disabled brother, Amari, 18, following the death of Tristan and Amari’s mother, Andrea, in 2023.

“I have chosen to take care of him and be there for him because it’s not good that he travels,” she said during a July episode of her “Khloé in Wonderland” podcast, referencing Tristan’s demanding NBA travel schedule.

“California weather is so good for Amari and I just love having Amari be a part of my family.”
