Sydney Sweeney is a knockout in pink corset dress at TIFF 2025
Sydney Sweeney did not come to play. In fact, she is absolutely slaying the TIFF 2025 red carpet this week.
Today at the Toronto International Film Festival, the 27-year-old wowed onlookers and online lurkers alike with her custom pale pink corseted gown by Erdem. The beautifully draped gown was gathered at the hip with a red ribbon and styled by Molly Dickson.
Finishing the look, the “Anyone But You” star wore a lightly lined nude lip and subtle smoky eye, giving full Hollywood glam with her long blond hair in va-va-voom waves.
On site in Toronto for the premiere of her film “Christy,” a sports biopic, the actress and producer has commanded the festival’s attention for more reasons than one.
Yesterday, Sweeney declined to comment on her controversial American Eagle campaign, making her TIFF priorities crystal clear. “I am there to support my movie and the people involved in making it, and I’m not there to talk about jeans,” Sweeney told Vanity Fair. “The movie’s about Christy, and that’s what I’ll be there to talk about.”
And while AE’s chief marketing officer is quite eager to discuss its ongoing collaborations with Sweeney and newly engaged football star Travis Kelce, several critics have pivoted back to focusing on the actress’ latest onscreen endeavor.
For “Christy,” a biopic about Christy Martin, one of the earliest female boxers, Sweeney gained 30 pounds of muscle in just three and a half months. “I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about two hours, and then weight-trained again at night for an hour,” she told W in a special summer issue.
Early reviews of the film are positive, praising Sweeney’s physical transformation and the realistic boxing sequences. But is this one-two punch at TIFF enough to fend off the ongoing banter about those jeans?
Either way, Sweeney is still a total knockout.
