Phoebe Gates Gives Insight into Relationship with Paul McCartney’s Grandson

Phoebe Gates keeps her boyfriend, Arthur Donald, in the loop.

The daughter of Bill Gates and Melinda French Gates opened up about Donald’s lack of social media presence during the Thursday, Sept. 4 episode of her and Sophia Kianni’s The Burnouts podcast.

“I’m dating a guy who literally doesn’t have Instagram,” said Phoebe, 22, of Donald, 26, one of Paul McCartney‘s grandchildren. “Like, he deletes it, and it’s amazing. It’s the best thing ever. And this is completely new for me. I’ve never been with someone like this.”

The founder of shopping app Phia continued, “And I’m like, ‘Okay, well, sit on down, bud. Let me show you the new video that we just dropped on the Phia account because I put my left titty into producing this thing, okay? So, you’re going to sit here, and you’re going to watch it.’ And he’s like, ‘Okay.’ But honestly having him not be on social media is so great.”

Phoebe and Donald have been dating for about two years and keep their romantic life relatively private.

In an April appearance on Call Her Daddy, she recalled a hilarious moment out with his family — including McCartney, 83.

During the episode, host Alex Cooper asked if Phoebe was a “Beatles person.”

She admitted, “Oh man, it’s so bad. Like, I’m so bad at music. I mean, my family like, we’re so nerdy, so I knew nothing about music. I knew about tech stuff growing up, not music stuff.”

“So I remember like early on he was like so excited, like he thought he was going to rizz me, he took me to an Elton John concert,” Phoebe continued. “And Elton John comes out in like a bedazzled track suit. I’m like, ‘Is Elton John gay?’ His entire family starts dying laughing.”

She noted that every time she sees his family, they joke about the incident.

Elsewhere in the episode, Phoebe touched on Donald’s musical talent. “Unfortunately, Arthur does not have any musical talent. I’ve been trying to get him to serenade me for a very long time but it has not happened.”
