Groom Goes Viral for His Personalized Wedding Invite to LeBron James (Exclusive)

A groom-to-be is going viral online for his efforts to get LeBron James on the guest list for his wedding.

Dominic Adomakoh, 26, is set to marry Olivia Talmage, 26, in an Italian destination wedding in April 2027. When he does so, he’d like to see the NBA star sitting on his side of the venue.

Talmage shared a video of him preparing a customized invitation for James, which amassed more than 1.3 million views in just over a week on TikTok.

“I’m just sitting here casually, I look over, and he is creating a personalized invite to our wedding for LeBron James,” she said in the clip before turning the camera toward Adomakoh, who said, “See you there, gang.”

The invitation featured a photoshopped image of the basketball star holding a sword while wearing his Los Angeles Lakers uniform. James appears to be walking toward the viewer with a burning flame lit behind him.

“To his highness, Sr. King LeBron James,” the invitation read. “You are cordially invited to attend the union of Olivia and Dom. If you feel so inclined to take the place of the bride, that is more than welcome, King. We are very excited to see you there.”

Adomakoh signed the invite, “Sincerely, Dom.”

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE, Talmage says that her fiancé is a longtime fan of James.

“He admires his talent and the way he has lived up to the enormous expectations placed on him from such a young age, something few athletes achieve,” she explains. “He also finds LeBron’s personality entertaining. He loves that LeBron sometimes exaggerates stories or gives unusual answers in interviews because it makes him laugh.”

She adds that she didn’t initially believe Adomakoh when he mentioned inviting James. She realized how serious he was when she saw a draft for the invite, which she says he spent “about an hour” finessing.

“We had heard of people sending wedding invitations to celebrities and occasionally getting a response, but seeing a personalized invite to LeBron completely surprised me. I laughed so hard when I saw it,” she says.

With her TikTok surpassing 1 million views online, James’ invite has been seen by a lot of people. However, the couple hasn’t sent it directly to the NBA star yet — but they plan to.

Talmage says that Adomakoh “plans on sending it to a few different places including LeBron’s p.o. box and the Lakers facility.”

As for their brush with viral fame, the bride-to-be explains that this video was “so special” since people have almost universally responded positively.

“I have had videos go viral before, and sometimes the internet can be harsh,” she admits, adding that in this case “the comments were kind, supportive and lighthearted.”

She continues, “People loved the humor behind the invite. I loved that it went viral because it gave people a snapshot of our relationship, which is full of love but also a lot of laughter since we truly are best friends.”

The couple’s relationship started when they met during their first year at Rollins College in Orlando, Fla.

“We both played soccer and had a class together, and we have been inseparable since the very beginning,” she gushes.

Their wedding will see them and their loved ones traveling across the globe to Italy. However, Adomakoh popped the question in another special location — Barbados, where he was born.
