David Henrie couldn’t be happier for Selena Gomez ahead of her wedding to Benny Blanco.

The actor, 36, starred as Gomez’s older brother on Wizards of Waverly Place from 2007 to 2012, and the pair — who have remained close through the years — recently reunited for a new iteration of the beloved Disney Channel series.

While speaking to Parade Magazine, Henrie said when asked whether he thinks he’ll be going to Gomez’s upcoming nuptials, “Oh, 100%, I mean, as long as I’m not doing something that takes me away with my family, or work, or whatever…”

“Yes, we’ve talked about it, I’m very excited,” the dad of three added in the recent interview.

Henrie added that he is thrilled for his former co-star and close friend.

“Look, I’ve spent some time with them and she smiles a lot around him, that makes me really happy, so I’m very happy about that,” he told the outlet.

Henrie’s latest comments about Gomez come after he had nothing but praise for the Rare Beauty founder when speaking to PEOPLE in September.

Reflecting on how the singer, actress and makeup mogul has evolved over the years he’s known her, Henrie said, “She’s continued to get more and more mature. She’s really settling into herself and her own and really owning her life.”

He added that it’s “been wonderful to see her continue to grow into a beautiful woman.”

Henrie will be one of the starry guests attending Gomez and Blanco’s upcoming wedding.

The couple, who got engaged in December 2024 after first being romantically linked in December 2023, recently celebrated their bachelor and bachelorette parties, with the Only Murders in the Building actress heading to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, while the music producer went to Las Vegas.

The month before the celebrations, Blanco admitted in an episode of Therapuss with Jake Shane, released on July 10, that the pair hadn’t started planning their big day yet.

“Not yet, that’s why we both need to chill. We’ve both been working so much,” Blanco said when asked if they had begun their wedding tasks.

Gomez also suggested that plans were yet to be made as she discussed the food that she did and didn’t want at the nuptials in an interview clip shared by her brand Rare Beauty on July 25.

“Whenever that day comes,” Gomez said, adding, “I do know I don’t want a big cake.”

“I think I’d want a mini one for just us that we can freeze,” she went on, explaining that rather than a sweet treat, her “preferred dessert would be biscuits and gravy.”

But not just anyone’s recipe: “My Nana’s biscuits and gravy,” she said. “That sounds like dessert to me.”
