Catherine Zeta-Jones is opening up about her all-night wedding to Michael Douglas.
In a preview clip of The Drew Barrymore Show, set to air on Monday, Sept. 8, the Wednesday actress, 55, clarified that she didn’t have a 12-hour wedding with her husband, 80 — it was actually a bit longer than that. Zeta-Jones and Douglas tied the knot in November 2000.
Zeta-Jones and Douglas hadn’t intended for their celebration to go on that long, the actress revealed. The party afterward just never died down.

“So after all the eating and the speeches and the dancing, we had this little area, like, at the Plaza that was called the piano bar,” Zeta-Jones began. “And then we were all like singing and it was just amazing.”
She continued, “Anyway, I needed to go to the bathroom. I come back, everyone’s just talking around the piano — ‘Michael. Where’s the pianist? The pianist is gone.’”
Douglas then offered to call the manager, who was helping them organize the festivities at the Plaza Hotel. Her husband said the party couldn’t locate the pianist, to which the manager replied, “It’s 6:30 in the morning, Mr. Douglas. The pianist has gone home.”
“Like, is it? Is it really 6:30?” Zeta-Jones recalled. “Yeah, we partied, we called the wedding at like 6:30 and we partied, oh, over 12 hours.”
The pair said “I do” at the Plaza Hotel on Nov. 18, 2000, just three months after they welcomed their first son, Dylan, together. The star-studded nuptials saw Tom Hanks, Whoopi Goldberg, Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt and Goldie Hawn in attendance.
