Go Behind the Scenes of Emma Myers’ People StyleWatch Shoot
Fall was in the air at Emma Myers’ People StyleWatch shoot.
With the help of her glam team, the Wednesday star, 23, embodies everything you love about the season in the romantic comedy-inspired photos.
“Everyone loves a fall color or a fall color story,” stylist Jordan Johnson Chung tells PEOPLE. “So we just kind of combined with the rom-com elements and her fun, youthful style. She makes everything look cool and great and she’s just so fun to work with.”
Lensed by photographer Andy Jackson, the shoot sees Myers in autumnal layers and warm tones, all against fall-inspired backdrops that evoke all the nostalgic rom-com feelings.
Johnson Chung says the goal was to incorporate “different textural elements” like knits and leather. In one scene, Myers sits on a park bench wearing a Mimchik Trench coat with a burgundy collar with a coordinating Monse romper underneath.
The stylist, who loves “socks with everything,” topped the look off with FALKE socks and Bared Footwear loafers.
Embracing one of fall’s most revered fabrics, Johnson Chung styled Myers in an all-denim Louis Vuitton outfit for another shot. Of course, she added FALKE socks with her pointed-toe Louis Vuitton shoes.
“I think everything complements each other and flows,” she says. “It’s in her wheelhouse and her skin tone can just kind of carry any color.”
Johnson Chung’s wardrobe inspired makeup artist Ralph Siciliano, who centered Myers’ look around the burgundy tones. The focal point was the vampy lip (Pat McGrath Labs’ Flesh 3 MatteTrance Lipstick), which Siciliano says “pulls all the fall colors together.”
He kept Myers’ skin dewy, adding NARS Powder Blush in Orgasm and crafting a soft, smoky eye.
As for Myers’ short, textured locks, hairstylist DJ Quintero had rom-com queen Meg Ryan in mind; specifically her shaggy look in When Harry Met Sally.
To achieve her effortless style, Quintero used a lineup of products from Living Proof.
“I basically air dried her hair, because when she came in she had natural texture, so she just wanted to feel like herself. [I] just enhanced the natural texture.”
Quintero continued, “I used a little of Living Proof’s Dry Volume & Texture Spray and just kind of fluffed it up, and then the hairspray. I really just wanted her to feel enhanced of herself.”
