Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun are spending more time together after their “casual” relationship became public.
Sources exclusively tell PEOPLE that the Anyone But You star, 27, and the former music manager and entrepreneur, 44, spent Labor Day weekend together at Lake Tahoe. The couple’s lakeside holiday along the California-Nevada border stretched from Friday through Monday as they “continue to get to know one another,” an insider reveals.
“He’s loving spending time with her and seeing where things go,” a source says of Braun.
Insiders share that the pair’s relationship, which one source dubs a “casual romance,” developed quietly behind the scenes months before news of their coupling broke.

Sweeney and a “very attentive” Braun had “something going on already” when they attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s June wedding in Venice, Italy, a source close to Sweeney tells PEOPLE.
“They hung out in Italy for the Bezos wedding,” the insider says. “Syd was intrigued — Scooter’s a charmer. He’s confident, but also sweet and very attentive.”
The source adds, “He’s not really her type, but she enjoyed the attention.”
According to the insider, Sweeney — who broke off her engagement with ex-fiancé Jonathan Davino, 42, in March — is “not looking to get wrapped up in another relationship” at the moment.
“She’s been clear about her goals for this year — it’s all about her career,” the source says. “She’s ambitious and very focused. She wants to make the most of every work opportunity that comes her way.”
Reps for Sweeney and Braun could not be reached for comment.

Insiders previously revealed to PEOPLE on Tuesday, Sept. 2, that Sweeney and Braun are “casually hooking up.”
One source told PEOPLE, “Everything is casual. She is living her life and working hard.” Star was the first to report the story.
Married to Yael Cohen from 2014 until their divorce in 2022, Braun shares three children with Cohen: sons Jagger, 10, and Levi, 8, plus daughter Hart, 6. The one-time record executive and health activist Cohen, 38, separated in 2021.
Sweeney and Davino, a Chicago businessman who produced the actress’s breakout hit romantic comedy Anyone But You alongside the star, first sparked rumors that they were dating in 2018. The pair got engaged in 2022. However, Sweeney called off their wedding in March, following months of rumors that their relationship had hit the rocks.
“She didn’t feel right about it,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “She is in the middle of this magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago. This is what she wants to focus on right now.”
“Things have been rocky for a long time,” another insider shared with PEOPLE that month.
Sweeney confirmed the news of her split from Davino in a May interview with The Times.
“I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it,” said the actress, who confirmed that she was single.
Sweeney has remained busy since her breakup with Davino: she is currently filming the highly anticipated third season of Euphoria; her biopic about former professional Christy Martin, Christy, is slated for a world premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, Sept. 5; and her star turn opposite Amanda Seyfried in the film adaptation of bestselling novel The Housemaid hits theaters this Christmas.

Braun, who has rarely spoken about Cohen since their split, called her “one of my best friends” during an interview with Danielle Robay for the July 17 episode of her podcast Question Everything.
Braun also shared that he and Cohen talk “every day.” He added, “We don’t even call each other ‘ex.’ That’s like my partner. That’s the mother of my children.”
Describing Cohen as his “family for life,” he continued, “I have a tattoo on my finger that says ‘same team’ after my divorce because she and I are on the same team for life. That’s what we say to each other.”
Asked about rumors that Taylor Swift‘s song “Vigilante S—” off her 2022 Midnights album is about his split from Cohen, Braun replied, “No, I never thought that was about us. [Yael] never thought it was about us and everyone else kind of feeding into the fire. Great strategy move, but nah.”
