Meet the New Cast Members in ‘My Life With the Walter Boys’ Season 2

Five new characters are shaking things up in Silver Falls for My Life With the Walter Boys season 2.

Based on the best-selling novel by Ali Novak, My Life With the Walter Boys follows Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez), a Manhattan-raised teen who relocates to the small town of Silver Falls, Colo., to live with the massive Walter family after a tragedy leaves her orphaned.

The show became an instant hit when it was originally released on Netflix in December 2023, thanks to its beloved cast, including Rodriguez and her costars, Ashby Gentry and Noah LaLonde, who play brothers Alex and Cole Walter, respectively.

In November 2024, Deadline reported that My Life With the Walter Boys had added five fresh faces to its recurring cast: Natalie Sharp, Carson MacCormac, Janet Kidder, Jake Manley and Riele Downs. Season 2 was released on Aug. 28, finally revealing the fate of all of these characters, from new romantic interests to friendly competitors.

From their previous roles to their personal lives, here’s everything to know about the new cast members that joined My Life With the Walter Boys season 2.

Natalie Sharp as Blake Hartford

Sharp joins My Life With the Walter Boys as Blake Hartford, a confident champion rodeo rider who becomes Alex’s personal trainer as he learns to bronco ride.

Throughout the season, the pair take their relationship from professional to personal as they have a brief romance, though he eventually cuts it off to go back to Jackie.

In November 2024, she shared the casting news on Instagram, writing, “I love this place. I love these people.🥹♥️🙏🏻.”

Prior to stepping into Silver Falls, Sharp appeared in a few episodes of Fox’s BH90210, The CW’s The Flash and Prime Video’s Wilderness. She also portrayed Mack in 2018’s The Miracle Season.

Outside of acting, Sharp, who is originally from Canada, has also released her own music, per her Instagram.

Carson MacCormac as Zach

MacCormac plays Zach, a fellow newspaper staffer who takes an interest in Nathan (Corey Fogelmanis).

During the season, Zach and Nathan share a kiss, which sparks Nathan’s breakup with Skylar (Jaylan Evans). The two start dating, but it’s eventually revealed that Zach’s true motive was to use Nathan to get Skylar’s attention — and ultimately try to win him back.

Following Deadline‘s November 2024 announcement, MacCormac wrote on Instagram that he was “so thrilled to be joining this cast of outright superstars🔥.”

MacCormac is best known for starring in a handful of movies, including 2019’s Shazam! and its sequel, as well as 2021’s East of Middle West and 2025’s Clown in a Cornfield. The actor also portrayed a young Dean in 2022’s Luckiest Girl Alive, starring Mila Kunis.

The Toronto-raised actor will soon appear in the YA horror novel adaptation, This Is Not a Test, per Deadline.

Kidder plays Joanne Wagner, Grace’s (Ellie O’Brien) mom and one of Katherine’s (Sarah Rafferty) first friends in Silver Falls. She plays an active role in the season as she takes issue with George (Marc Blucas) and Will’s (Johnny Link) ranch development plans.

In November 2024, Kidder shared Deadline‘s cast announcement on Instagram, writing, “Had a great time on this show. These fabulous talented and beautiful women made it extra special. Thank you ❤️.”

O’Brien, who portrays her on-screen daughter, commented, “so great getting to work with you ❤️.”

Originally from the U.K., Kidder moved to Canada and pursued a decades-long acting career, per her LinkedIn. The actress is best known for her roles in 1998’s Bride of Chucky and 2020’s Operation Christmas Drop. As for the small screen, she appeared in Paramount+’s Star Trek: Discovery.

Jake Manley as Wylder Holt

Manley joins the cast as Wylder Holt, a young rising star among bronco riders who becomes friendly competition for Alex.

In April 2025, the Toronto native opened up to Digital Journal about joining the cast of My Life With the Walter Boys, saying that he had a “great time working on that show.”

“I got to play a cool character,” the actor said. “It was a great experience with an amazing team of directors, producers, writers and actors.”

Manley continued, “I can see why that show is so successful … they have a great cast!”

The actor previously appeared in 2019’s Midway, 2020’s Infamous and 2020’s Holidate. He also starred in Netflix’s The Order.

Riele Downs as Maria

Downs portrays Maria, a student at Silver Falls High School who partakes in some flirting with Alex in driver’s ed.

“poppin’ in on szn 2 🏇🏼🤸🏾‍♂️,” she captioned the casting announcement on her Instagram in November 2024.

The Toronto-raised actress previously appeared in 2013’s The Best Man Holiday and 2022’s Darby and the Dead, as well as a few episodes of Peacock’s Bel-Air.

Downs also lent her voice to Nickelodeon’s Henry Danger, which led to her being nominated for a Kids’ Choice Award in 2020.
