Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi and Emerald Fennell are bringing a romantic classic to the big screen for Valentine’s Day 2026.
On Wednesday, Sept. 3, Warner Bros. debuted the first trailer for Wuthering Heights, director Fennell’s latest movie, which adapts Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel. Oscar-winner Fennell previously directed Promising Young Woman and Saltburn, both also produced by Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerly.
Robbie, 35, stars as Catherine, while Elordi, 28, portrays Heathcliff. The cast also includes Hong Chau, Alison Oliver and Shazad Latif. The film will feature original songs from Charli xcx.
“Just you wait,” Robbie recently teased about the movie to MTV in a clip shared to Instagram. “It’s bananas. It’s great. It’s brilliant.”
Robbie and Elordi were first reported to be taking on the lead roles in Fennell’s adaptation back in September 2024. Robbie is producing the movie through her company LuckyChap.
Wuthering Heights has been adapted for the screen a number of times. Emma Mackey starred in a 2022 movie titled Emily, which is a fictionalized account of how Brontë came to write Withering Heights.
