Dentist Allegedly Kills Wife and Daughter, 15, in Suspected Murder-Suicide

A dentist from Georgia is accused of killing his wife, their daughter and himself in an alleged murder-suicide.
The bodies of James Choi, 52, Young Choi, 52, and 15-year-old Grace Choi were found by authorities at a home on Glen Castle Court in the St. Ives neighborhood of Johns Creek, Ga., at around 4:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, Aug. 31, according to a statement provided to PEOPLE by Johns Creek PD.
“Preliminary investigation indicates this was a domestic-related murder-suicide,” Johns Creek PD said in their statement. “The suspect in this case is believed to be James Choi.”
Authorities additionally confirmed in their statement that James was the husband of Myoung Choi and Grace was their daughter.

Out of respect for the victims’ family members and the integrity of the investigation, no further information has been released by officials.
“This tragic incident has deeply affected not only the family and neighbors, but our entire community,” Johns Creek Police Chief Mark J. Mitchell said in the aforementioned statement. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to those impacted and ask that the community keep them in their thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.”
James was a dentist and worked at Highland Dental in Suwanee, Ga., according to the Opencare website.

PEOPLE reached out to Highland Dental for comment, but they did not immediately respond.
Meanwhile, Grace attended Mount Pisgah Christian School, where she was a sophomore.
“We are heartbroken and devastated to confirm the untimely death of one of our treasured and beloved students, sophomore Grace Choi,” the school wrote in a post on Facebook.
They added, “We wish to express our deepest condolences and our heartfelt love, support, and prayers to Grace’s extended family, friends, and everyone who is grieving with our school community.”
The post then concluded with the bible verse Psalm 34:18, which reads, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
