Austin McBroom Might Cry at Ex-Wife Catherine Paiz’s Wedding

Austin McBroom says he’ll “support” ex-wife Catherine Paiz on her wedding day, but “might cry” watching her get remarried.

Shortly after Paiz, 35, announced her engagement to tattoo artist Igor Ten on Monday, Sept. 1, McBroom, 33, shared on a livestream that he’s “happy” for his ex-wife, whom he announced his split from in January 2024. He also confirmed he was invited to the couple’s upcoming wedding this September.

“Some of you may think it’s weird, but she did invite me to the wedding. She said the kids want me to go, so she extended the invite to me, which I appreciate,” said McBroom, who shares daughters Elle and Alaïa and son Steel with Paiz.

Paiz told McBroom she “completely understands” if he declines the invitation, but the Twitch streamer said, “As of right now, I’ll be there. She’ll have my support, and I wish them the best of luck and I’m very happy for them.”

“I feel like I have no reason not to go,” McBroom continued. “If my kids want me to be there, I’m obviously going to support.”

He admitted that he might get emotional when he witnesses Paiz marrying another man. “I might cry. I might f—— cry,” he shared.

“S—, imagine like being with someone for 10 years and then seeing them get remarried and being their happiest they’ve ever been. That is a big f—— moment. Regardless of what happened in her and I’s relationship, like when it comes to us coparenting and being friends, like, obviously I want the best for her,” he explained.

Paiz and Ten revealed on Instagram that their nuptials take place this September, but they did not share the specific date. McBroom clarified on the livestream that the wedding is “at the end of the month.” He also spilled that the venue is “not far from where we live,” and that “all her family will be there.”

The former ACE Family YouTube vlogger is looking forward to the big day, which he thinks will be “fun.” But he admitted “there might be times when it’s a little awkward.”

“I’m really happy that the kids get to be a part of a wedding. Why would I not be happy about that?” McBroom said. “My girls get to be flower girls and my son will be the ring bearer, I’m assuming.”

Paiz debuted her romance with Ten in November 2024 on Instagram. McBroom talked about seeing the post for the first time on the Outside Voices podcast, saying he had met Ten before and thought he was a “great guy.”

“I’m trusting Catherine’s judgment on bringing in the right person to be around our kids,” McBroom said at the time.
