Where to buy tickets, best prices, dates
Slowhand is stepping back into the spotlight.
Starting Friday, Sept. 5, Eric Clapton blasts off on his quick 2025 tour with Jakob Dylan and The Wallflowers.
The brief run will take the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer to seven North American arenas over 15 days.
That includes a stop at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Friday, Sept. 19.
This one-off Big Apple gig will be the 80-year-old’s first in NYC since 2022 when he headlined back-to-back nights at MSG midway through his ‘US Tour 2022.’
If you’d like to see the famed axeman live, tickets are available for all upcoming Clapton concerts.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one show was $86 including fees on Vivid Seats.
Other performances have seats starting anywhere from $103 to $396 including fees.
In the event catching the former Cream/Blind Faith/Derek and the Dominos/Yardbirds/John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers guitarist live is still languishing on your bucket list, you can expect him to deliver both acoustic and electric sets at all shows. After digging into the archives at Set List FM, our team found notable highlights from his ’22 MSG concerts included fan favorites like “Layla,” “Badge,” “After Midnight,” “I Shot The Sheriff” and “Cocaine” among others.
At a more recent show in France, the octogenarian rock legend opened with the Cream classic “White Room” and later rocked “Sunshine Of Your Love,” both of which he didn’t take to the Garden three years ago.
Obviously there’s no word on what he’ll take to the stage this time around but we do know the best way to find out is live.

Eric Clapton new music
On Oct. 4, 2024, Clapton released his 22nd studio album “Meanwhile.”
The record, his first non-holiday effort since 2016, is a laid-back, bluesy affair featuring high-profile collaborators like Van Morrison, Bradley Walker and the late Jeff Beck.
For those who have yet to hear the offering, we suggest starting with the stunning, high-flying cover of “Moon River” (with Beck), jaunty stomper “One Woman” and fiery “Stand and Deliver” (with Van Morrison).
If you’d like to give the album a spin, you can find the sturdy “Meanwhile” here.
The Wallflowers
As noted above, the 80-year-old rock icon is taking The Wallflowers on the road with him.
Jakob Dylan’s group — which has been active since 1989 — broke through with their wistful 1996 smash “One Headlight.” However, they’re no one-trick pony. Other highlights from their vast catalog include the foreboding “Closer To You,” impassioned showstopper “Bleeders” and exquisitely unfussy “Roots And Wings.”

Hoping to see them live? You’re in luck. The Wallflowers are heading out on a tour of their own from September through November.

Eric Clapton COVID-19 controversy
In November 2020, Clapton released an anti-masking and lockdown song called “Stand and Deliver” with Van Morrison.
Eight months later, he claimed that he would “not perform on any stage where there is a discriminated audience present” in regard to vaccinations.
Ironically, Clapton ended up canceling a handful of concerts after receiving a positive COVID-19 diagnosis in March 2022.
